FA女子スーパーリーグ(FAWSL)のトッテナムに所属するアメリカ女子代表FWアレックス・モーガン(31)が、移籍以来初となるゴールを決めた。

2016年からナショナル・ウーマンズ・サッカーリーグ(NWSL)のオーランド・プライドでプレーするモーガンだが、NWSLの中断期間を利用して、9月にトッテナムに加入していた。

◆モーガンの記念すべきスパーズ初ゴール

トッテナムは6日、FAWSL第8節でブライトン&ホーヴ・アルビオンと対戦。この試合に先発出場を果たしたモーガンは、2-1とトッテナムリードの84分、味方がボックス内で倒され、PKを獲得。PKキッカーを務めたモーガンは、短い助走から落ち着いてGKの逆を突いたシュートを沈め、トッテナム移籍後初ゴールを記録した。

試合は、モーガンのPKなど、3ゴールを挙げたトッテナムが3-1で勝利。今シーズン初勝利を挙げるとともに順位を1つ上げ、リーグ9位に入っている。

新天地での初ゴールが生まれたモーガン。このゴールをきっかけにどこまでゴール数を伸ばせるか、世界王者アメリカのエースストライカーに注目だ。

トッテナムは19.5億円を払って監督交代か? ポステコグルー監督の後任候補1番手はスペイン人指揮官

史上初の国外開催! アーセナルとスパーズが香港で“ノース・ロンドン・ダービー”を開催
