パリ・サンジェルマン(PSG)に所属するフランス代表FWキリアン・ムバッペが自身のアイドルであるポルトガル代表FWクリスティアーノ・ロナウドとの対戦を喜んでいる。フランス代表は11日、UEFAネーションズリーグ2020-21のリーグA・グループ3第3節で王者ポルトガル代表と対戦。ムバッペは先発出場を果たし、C・ロナウドと同じピッチに立った。

これまでにC・ロナウドへの憧れを幾度も語ってきたムバッペ。幼少期には部屋にC・ロナウドのポスターが何枚も貼られていたことが明かされていた。
2015年にムバッペがモナコでプロデビューを果たして以来、C・ロナウドと対戦したのは、C・ロナウドがまだレアル・マドリーに在籍していた2017-18シーズンのチャンピオンズリーグ、ラウンド16のみだったが、今回代表キャリアでの初対戦を迎えることとなった。

ハーフタイムには二人で談笑する姿もあったが、試合後、ムバッペは自身のツイッター(@KMbappe)を更新。C・ロナウドを憧れのまなざしで見つめる自身の写真と共に、「クリスティアーノ、アイドル…」のテキストを投稿していた。
この投稿には50万近い数のいいねも集まっており、ムバッペの純粋な一面が垣間見えるツイートになっている。

悲願のチャンピオンズリーグ(CL)制覇を目指すPSGにおいて、今夏はフリートランスファーで多くの実力者を獲得。オランダ代表MFジョルジニオ・ワイナルドゥム、スペイン代表DFセルヒオ・ラモス、イタリア代表GKジャンルイジ・ドンナルンマ、そしてメッシの4名を移籍金なしで獲得したのだから驚きだ。 サッカー界においてPSGの歴史は浅く、1970年に創設。クラブ設立から50年しか経過していないが、世界のビッグクラブの仲間入りを果たしている。 2011年5月にカタール投資庁(QIA)の子会社であるカタール・スポーツ・インベストメント(QSI)がクラブ株式の70%を購入して筆頭株主となった事がきっかけ。ビッグネームの獲得を続けてきた中、実はバルセロナとの縁は深かったのだ。 PSGの面々がエレーラの誕生日を祝う! しかし、集合写真にある選手が不在で憶測広がる

セネガル出身のエヴラ氏、フランス代表入りを後悔「過去に戻れるならセネガルを選ぶ」

かつて世界最高の左サイドバックの1人と言われたパトリス・エヴラ氏が、フランス代表を選択した過去を後悔していると口にした。ナイジェリア『Sports Brief』が伝えている。 セネガルの首都ダカールで生を受けるも、育ちはフランスというエヴラ氏。現役時代はマンチェスター・ユナイテッドで長く活躍し、5度のプレミアリーグ優勝のほか、2007-08シーズンには主軸としてチャンピオンズリーグ(CL)制覇に貢献している。 フランス代表としては通算81キャップ。だが、主将として臨んだ2010年の南アフリカ・ワールドカップ(W杯)では、チームの内紛が練習ボイコットにまで発展し、自身も大会終了前にチームから追放されるなど、クラブキャリアの成功に比べると、苦い思い出が多い。 そんなエヴラ氏は先日、西アフリカでの自身のサッカー事業の一環として訪れたガーナで、同国のナナ・アクフォ=アド大統領と会談。その中で、母国セネガルではなくフランス代表を選んだことを後悔していると語ったという。 「過去に戻れるならフランスではなく、生まれ故郷のセネガルを代表する道を選ぶでしょう。私はダカールで生まれましたが、フランスで育ちました」 「この選択で私が学んだ苦痛な教訓は、良いプレーをして勝利した時はフランス人として称賛され、チームが負けようものならセネガル人として扱われることです」 「私はアフリカの今の若い世代に、君たちが自分の生まれた国でのプレーを選んでも、成功への扉は開いている。ということを伝えていかなくてはなりません」 前述のW杯での一件もあってか、現在もなお、フランス代表に対して良く思っていないことをうかがわせた格好だ。 2022.09.17 17:12 Sat

「10点満点の美しさ」「素晴らしいと言わざるを得ない」リークされたフランス代表の新ユニフォームに絶賛の嵐「とてもクラシック」
