FA女子スーパーリーグ(FA WSL)のトッテナムは12日、アメリカ女子代表FWアレックス・モーガン(31)とのビザ取得を条件にした加入合意を正式発表した。背番号は代表でも馴染み深い「13」に決定している。
アメリカ女子代表として2015年の女子ワールド・カップ(W杯)から2大会連続制覇や通算169試合107ゴールの実績を誇り、絶対的エースに君臨するモーガン。2016年からナショナル・ウーマンズ・サッカーリーグ(NWSL)のオーランド・プライドでプレーしている。
プライベートにおいては今年5月に第一子の女児を出産。母になったばかりだが、2017年冬から半年間を過ごしたリヨン時代となる自身2度目の欧州挑戦を決断した形だ。
なお、事前の報道によると、トッテナムとは今年末までの短期契約になるが、シーズンが終わる5月までの延長オプションも付随しての加入に。移籍金は発生せず、トッテナム加入中もアメリカサッカー連盟から給与が支払われる模様だ。

米女子代表モーガン、トッテナムと加入合意 背番号は馴染み深い13番
