イングランド代表選出のラッシュフォード、足首のケガで久々の代表戦微妙か

マンチェスター・ユナイテッドのイングランド代表FWマーカス・ラッシュフォードは万全の状態でないなかでの代表入りだった模様だ。

イングランド代表は25日、来月に行われるUEFAネーションズリーグ2020-21に向けたメンバー24名を発表。アイスランド代表(5日)、デンマーク代表(8日)とのアウェイ連戦に向け、2019-20シーズンのユナイテッドで公式戦44試合22得点11アシストを記録したラッシュフォードもメンバー入りした。

しかし、イギリス『テレグラフ』によると、ラッシュフォードは16日に行われたヨーロッパリーグ(EL)準決勝のセビージャ戦で足首を痛めての代表入りだった様子。本人は久々の代表戦に出場したい思いが強いものの、来季のプレミアリーグ開幕前まで休養の助言も受けており、出場が懐疑的だという。

ラッシュフォードも離脱となれば、MFジョーダン・ヘンダーソン、MFアレックス・オックスレイド=チェンバレン、DFベン・チルウェルらに続く負傷者となるガレス・サウスゲイト監督はさらなる戦力ダウンを強いられることになる。

1位に輝いたのは、アストン・ビラでプレーするスイス女子代表のアリーシャ・レーマン。世界一セクシーなアスリートとしても知られ、インスタグラムのフォロワーは1340万人。元プロテニスプレーヤーのロジャー・フェデラーを超え、インスタグラムで最も人気のあるスイス人アスリートとなっている。アストン・ビラでは2シーズンでFA女子スーパーリーグ(FAWSL)で43試合に出場し7ゴール。スイス代表としても38キャップを記録している。
