サッスオーロは6月30日、ロベルト・デ・ゼルビ監督(41)との契約延長を発表した。契約期間は2021年6月30日までの2年となる。

攻撃的なポゼッションスタイルを信条に、2014年から2016年まで率いたフォッジャで卓越した手腕を発揮したデ・ゼルビ氏は、パレルモとベネヴェントでの指揮を経て、2018年7月からサッスオーロの監督に就任している。

今シーズンのサッスオーロはセリエA28試合を終え、9勝7分け12敗の勝ち点34で12位に位置している。
