アメリカで3連敗のなでしこジャパン、4月のニュージーランド戦中止が決定《MS&ADカップ》

日本サッカー協会(JFA)は13日、4月11日(土)に予定されていた、なでしこジャパンvsニュージーランド女子代表の試合が中止になることを発表した。

「MS&ADカップ 2020」として宮城のユアテックスタジアム仙台行われる予定だった試合だが、現在の様々な状況を考慮し、ニュージーランドサッカー協会と関係者との競技を重ねた結果、中止という判断に至ったとのことだ。

チケットの払い戻しなどは、詳細が決定した上で発表される。

高倉麻子監督は今回の中止を受け、JFAを通じてコメントしている。

「試合を楽しみに待って下さっていたファン・サポーターの皆さんや、試合の準備を進めてくださっていた宮城県・仙台市の皆さん、そしてこの試合の位置付けを強く理解し、東京オリンピックに向け日々努力を重ねてきた選手たちと共に、今回の国際親善試合の中止決定を残念に思います」

「一方で、多くの方がこの新しい病気と戦う日々の中で疲弊し、消耗し、苦しんでいることに対して心を痛めています。スポーツを指導する立場に身を置く者として、人々の健やかな生活以上に望むものはありません」

「この苦しみを一緒に乗り越え、笑顔で暮らせる日々を取り戻し、一日も早く皆さんと一緒にサッカーを楽しめる日が戻ることを心から願っています。この難局を、全員が一丸となって、チームワークで乗り切って行けたら嬉しいです」

なでしこジャパンは、Shebelieves Cupに参戦するため今月に入りアメリカに遠征。スペイン女子代表、イングランド女子代表、アメリカ女子代表と3試合を戦ったが、3連敗で大会を終えていたばかりだった。

BE:FIRSTがアンバサダー就任の「FILA」、かつては中田英寿氏も同ブランドのスパイクを着用
