現役時代にワールドクラスのストライカーとして名を馳せた元フランス代表のアンリ氏。現役引退後は、『スカイ・スポーツ』などで解説者を務める傍ら、古巣アーセナルのU-18チームのコーチ、2016年からはベルギー代表でロベルト・マルティネス監督のアシスタントコーチを務めていた。
その後、昨年10月に解任されたレオナルド・ジャルディム前監督の解任に伴い、現役時代の古巣・モナコの新指揮官に就任。低迷していたクラブの再建を託されるも、就任からリーグ戦12試合でわずか2勝と振るわず。監督初挑戦はわずか3カ月ほどで終焉を迎えた。
失意の解任から約10カ月…。今月14日にモントリオール・インパクトの監督就任が発表され、指導者としての再スタートを切ることとなったアンリ氏は、記者会見で以下のようにコメントした。
「皆さんは良いことばかり覚えているが、私は暗闇の中で良い選手になっていった。きっとその経験が良い監督になることにも役立つだろう」

ムバッペ弾で11連勝のモナコが17年ぶり8度目の優勝! PSGの5連覇の夢を打ち砕く《リーグ・アン》

マルセイユ、モナコからFWジェルマンを獲得! 「ここでプレーすることなくキャリアを終えたならば、きっと後悔した」

フランスの点取り屋、ダビド・トレゼゲがブレイクのきっかけを掴んだモナコで決めたプロ初ゴール【ファースト・ゴールズ】
