今シーズン途中にサガン鳥栖で現役引退を果たした元スペイン代表FWフェルナンド・トーレスが、盟友にメッセージを送った。13日、ヴィッセル神戸に所属する元スペイン代表FWダビド・ビジャ(37)が、今シーズン限りでの引退を発表した。

トーレスとビジャは、共にスペイン代表でプレー。クラブレベルではチームメイトになることはなかったが、同じストライカーとしてラ・リーガで良きライバル関係にあった。
スペイン代表では、2008年のユーロ、2010年の南アフリカ・ワールドカップとタイトルを獲得。スペイン代表の黄金期を支えた2人は、現役最後の地に日本を選択し、Jリーグでプレーしてスパイクを脱ぐこととなった。

トーレスは、自身のインスタグラム(fernandotorres)を更新。よきライバルであり、2トップを組んだ友人へ、手向けの言葉を綴った。
「ライバル、パートナー、しかし、何よりも友人だ。ダビド・ビジャと前線で共に戦い、勝利することは名誉であり喜びだった」

21世紀の出場試合数ランキング発表! 首位は1145試合のC・ロナウド、トップ10に日本人選手がランクイン

「間違いを犯しました」ゲイ告白騒動のカシージャス、「僕らの話をする時が…」と茶化したプジョールが謝罪

「本当に泣ける…」スペイン相手に劇的勝利、日本代表選手たちが勝利後のロッカー&バスで歌った曲は?久保建英がスピーカー持ってファンの前に

「激アツ」「どっちも可愛い」長谷川唯の“激レア”スペイン代表ユニフォーム姿が話題! イニエスタにも例えられるボンマティの日本代表ユニも話題「なんかエモい」
