スペイン『マルカ』は27日、レアル・マドリーが“普通のメッシ”を擁するバルセロナに勝てなかったと揶揄した。
レアル・マドリーは同日、コパ・デル・レイ準決勝2ndレグでバルセロナと再戦(0-3でレアル・マドリーが敗戦)。敵地で行われた1stレグを1-1で引き分けたレアル・マドリーだったが、今回はバルセロナのウルグアイ代表FWルイス・スアレスに2得点+オウンゴール誘発の全3得点に絡む活躍を許して、2戦合計1-4でベスト4敗退が決まった。
『マルカ』は、そのレアル・マドリーについて「ゴール前の精彩欠如と守備陣の貧弱さが期待外れ」だったと酷評。さらに、前節のセビージャ戦でハットトリックのバルセロナに所属するアルゼンチン代表FWリオネル・メッシのプレー内容を「平均的」とし、その“アドバンテージ”をも生かせなかったとレアル・マドリーをこき下ろした。
確かに、この試合のメッシは先のセビージャ戦と比べれば、結果的にもだいぶ存在感薄め。要所でらしいプレーを見せたが、相手のタイトなマーキングもあり、全体的にフェードアウトした試合だった感は否めなかった。ただ、そのメッシの存在がレアル・マドリー選手のマークを集めるが故、周りにスペースが生まれたことも事実だろう。
今回の敗北により、チャンピオンズリーグ(CL)のみが目指せるカップ戦タイトルになったレアル・マドリーは、3月2日に行われる次戦のリーガエスパニューラ第26節で再びバルセロナを本拠地サンティアゴ・ベルナベウに迎え撃つ。次のメッシも“普通”のレベルにあるのなら、今度こそ、そのチャンスを生かしたいところだ。

メッシ 大好きなマテ茶のストローは7万円超えの特別仕様

21世紀の出場試合数ランキング発表! 首位は1145試合のC・ロナウド、トップ10に日本人選手がランクイン

重傷を負ったレアルの17歳逸材CBが復帰間近、昨夏のツアー帯同に続くCWC参加なるか

21世紀の出場試合数ランキング発表! 首位は1145試合のC・ロナウド、トップ10に日本人選手がランクイン
