安田一男主審の訃報とYASUDAスパイクの復活/六川亨の日本サッカーの歩み
元国際審判員で、東京都サッカー協会の理事を48年間も務めた安田一男氏が、2月17日89年の生涯をまっとうされた。早稲田大学卒業後、25歳の若さで東京都サッカー協会の理事になり、1997年に理事長に就任すると協会の法人化に努め、2000年には東京都から財団法人の認可を受け、その後は初代の会長となった。 JFA(日本サッカー協会)では審判委員会委員、理事、評議員を歴任し、FIFAの審判員を16年間も務めたレフェリーの“草分け的"な存在だった。 安田主審と聞いて思い出すのは、釜本邦茂氏がJSL(日本サッカーリーグ)200ゴールのカウントダウンが始まった1981年のことだ。この年の11月1日、神戸中央競技場(現ノエビアスタジアム神戸)での本田技研戦で釜本氏は200ゴールを達成したが、81年の開幕前にすでに190ゴールを達成していた。 当時のJSLはスポーツ新聞でも結果が載るくらい。しかし釜本氏は別格で、ゴールのたびに注目を集めた。そして三ツ沢球技場(現ニッパツ三ツ沢球技場)でのナイターだったから、たぶん相手は古河電工(現ジェフ千葉)だろう(現在横浜市立市民病院が建っているところには古河電工の社宅があった)。 釜本氏が豪快なシュートを決めると、ボールはクロスバーの奥にあるゴールネットを水平に支えるパイプに当たって跳ね返ってきた。その勢いがあまりに凄かったため、安田主審はクロスバーに当たったと勘違いしてゴールを認めなかった。 執拗に食い下がる釜本氏だったが、安田主審も自身のジャッジを頑として譲らなかった。試合後に記者に囲まれた釜本氏は「あれは絶対にゴールや」と主張しつつ、判定を受け入れたのは「右手を左胸に持っていったから、諦めなしょうがない」という理由だった。“世界の釜本"にも屈しないのが安田主審だった。 ちなみに釜本氏のJSL通算ゴールは202となっているが、三ツ沢でのゴールが認められていれば203ゴールが正しいゴール数となる。 そんな安田主審の、もう1つの顔が「ヤスダ・スポーツ」の2代目社長だった。1970年代は、どう見ても3本線のスパイクにしか見えない「FX-3(5500円)」や、プーマラインにしか見えない「4・4・2(4600円)」といった高級牛皮とナイロンソールの斬新なスパイクを販売していた。「イレブン・スターズ」という白黒の亀甲型のサッカーボールは「日本蹴球協会公認球(4300円)」で、当時のサッカー少年にとっては憧れのサッカーボールだった。 茗荷谷の駅の近くにあった本社ビルの屋上には巨大なサッカーボールがデイスプレイされていた。審判用のグッズを手がけたのもヤスダらしい気配りだった。このヤスダに対抗して、陸上競技からサッカーシューズを手がけるようになったのが神戸にあったオニツカタイガーで、こちらは独創的なラインを採用。現在のアシックスである。 ところが70年代なかばからテレビでW杯が中継されるようになると、日本の商社がアディダスやプーマのスパイクを輸入・販売するようになり、ヤスダは苦戦を強いられる。そこでヤスダはターゲットを中高生に絞り、特に高校選手権に出場するような強豪高にはカラースパイクを提供し、ブルー×イエローラインのスパイク「クリエイター」を履いた帝京高校が優勝するなど奮闘した。 しかし年を重ねるごとにライバルメーカーが現れ、苦戦を強いられる。そして日韓W杯の開催された2002年に老舗メーカーはひっそりと70年の歴史に幕を降ろしたのだった。 ところが2018年、クラウドファンディングによりヤスダのスパイクが復活した。当時は1足ずつの受注生産で価格もかなり高価だったが、その後はクラウドファンディングの成功から「株式会社YASUDA」として再スタートを切る。現在ではFC東京の高萩洋次郎や大宮の三門雄大らが契約選手としてYASUDAのスパイクで活躍中だ。 安田一男さんも、名門YASUDAの復活を喜んで旅立ったことだろう。謹んで哀悼の意を表します。 2022.02.24 18:00 Thu

「まさに死闘ってカンジ」歴史に残るバーレーンとの4-3の激闘!2004年大会プレイバックに反響「このゴールで中澤佑二に惚れた」

「爽やか〜」「かっこよすぎ」田中碧のニューヘアーが大絶賛、大先輩も「髪型グーやん」
