▽イングランド代表MFルベン・ロフタス=チークが今夏の移籍市場を振り返り、チェルシー退団の真相を明らかにした。イギリス『スカイ・スポーツ』が報じている。

▽チェルシーのアカデミーで育ったロフタス=チークは、2014年12月のチャンピオンズリーグ(CL)・グループステージで対戦したスポルティング戦でトップチームデビューを果たした。その後もチェルシーに留まっていたが出場機会を得られず。今シーズンはクリスタル・パレスに期限付き移籍で加入すると、ここまで7試合に出場している。

▽するとイングランド代表を率いるガレス・サウスゲイト監督は、ドイツ代表、ブラジル代表と対戦する同代表のメンバーにロフタス=チークを抜擢。10日に行われるドイツ戦では早くも代表初出場に期待がかかる。

▽大きな期待を背負っている同選手は、インタビューに応じて今夏の移籍市場でチェルシーを退団する考えを持っていたことを明らかにしている。

「僕には明確なビジョンがあって、だからこそチェルシーから出たいと強く思っていた。僕には出場機会が必要だったし、それならばチェルシーを離れるしかなかった。クラブと話し合って合意したんだ」

北中米W杯の欧州予選組み合わせ決定! 12カ国+POの4カ国が出場権獲得、来年3月からスタート【2026年北中米W杯欧州予選】
