『今日の誕生日は誰だ!』本日、4月26日はシント=トロイデンFW鈴木優磨だ。

千葉県出身の鈴木は小学1年生の頃から鹿島のスクールに通う鹿島一筋の選手だ。2015年にトップチームに昇格すると、同年9月のガンバ大阪戦でJ1デビューで初得点。印象的なスタートを切った。
2016年に出場したFIFAクラブワールドカップでは準決勝のアトレティコ・ナシオナウ戦でゴールを決めた後、同じく大会に参加していたレアル・マドリーのクリスティアーノ・ロナウドのゴールセレブレーションを真似て話題に。スペインメディアから取材を受けた。

2017年から背番号9を着けた鈴木は、2018シーズンには公式戦52試合17ゴール17アシストとキャリアハイの成績を収め、国内リーグではJリーグ優秀選手賞を受賞した。 さらに同シーズンのAFCチャンピオンズリーグ(ACL)では、2ゴール5アシストの活躍でチームを初優勝に導くとともに、大会MVPに輝いた。
2019シーズンは右ハムストリング筋損傷により出場機会がなかったが7月にベルギーのシント=トロイデンへと移籍。初の海外挑戦で公式戦25試合7ゴール1アシストの結果を残した。

鈴木優磨が“金髪”にする理由を告白

鹿島が強かに7連勝! 清水が圧倒的に攻めた中で、鈴木優磨弾を守り切り首位堅持【明治安田J1第17節】
