ロイ・キーン、去就揺れるケインについて…「ユナイテッドを気に入っているはず」

去就に揺れるトッテナムのイングランド代表FWハリー・ケイン(27)にとって、マンチェスター・ユナイテッド行きに心が傾く一戦になったかもしれない。イギリス『メトロ』が報じている。

トッテナムは11日に本拠地で行われたプレミアリーグ第31節でユナイテッドと対戦。先日のイギリス『スカイ・スポーツ』で今季のトッテナムが来季のチャンピオンズリーグ(CL)出場権を逃せば、今夏の移籍を直訴すると報じられたケインもフル出場したが、後半の3失点で1-3の逆転負けを喫した。

元アイルランド代表MFのロイ・キーン氏は自身の古巣であるユナイテッドの関心も取り沙汰されるケインについて、今回の試合が赤い悪魔の一員としてプレーする自身の姿を想像するキッカケになったに違いないと語った。

「ケインにとって、過去12カ月間におけるユナイテッドの成長ぶりを耳にするなかで、今日の試合で目にしてみて、確実にこういう考えを巡らせたに違いない。『マンチェスター・ユナイテッドでフロントのトップマンになれるかも?』ってね。彼が得られるであろうサービスを考えれば、ケインはユナイテッドのことを気に入っているはずだ。そんな気がする。ただの直感なのだがね」

そんなユナイテッドは2017年のヨーロッパリーグ(EL)を最後にタイトルから遠ざかっているが、ロイ・キーン氏はケインが加入すれば、両者が求めるトロフィーに近づける“Win-Win”の移籍だと主張した。

「ケインがユナイテッドにいたら、夜の次に昼が続くのと同じように、トロフィーを獲得できるようになるだろうね。マンチェスター・ユナイテッドはシティとのギャップを埋めつつある。ケインは新たにその大きな一歩になるだろう。ケインはたぶん海外に行きたがっていない。マンチェスター・ユナイテッドには依然として大きな惹きつける力がある」

なお、ケインは昨年、トッテナムに対する忠誠心を口にしつつ、タイトルから縁遠い状況との葛藤も吐露。アルゼンチン代表FWセルヒオ・アグエロが今季限りで退団するマンチェスター・シティも関心を示しているとされる。

相手が恐れる右手…ストライカーの完成形と呼ばれた男、アラン・シアラー

「高価な食べ物はない」ギネス記録樹立、C・ロナウドのあの肉体の秘訣を専属シェフが明かす

「マジで刺さる」「最高にクール」ユナイテッドがザ・ストーン・ローゼズとのコレクションを発表!「良すぎる」「全部買う」
