アルジェリアサッカー協会(FAF)が、空席となったA代表指揮官の座にエルヴェ・ルナール氏(55)招へいを目論んでいるという。

FAFは24日、アフリカ・ネーションズカップ(CAN)でグループステージ敗退を喫したアルジェリア代表のジャメル・ベルマディ監督(47)を解任したと発表。2大会ぶり優勝を目指したなか、アンゴラ代表、ブルキナファソ代表、モーリタニア代表と、格下相手に1勝もできず大会を去った。

2018年から長期政権を敷いた元代表選手を更迭したなか、フランス『RMC Sport』によると、後任候補の最有力がルナール氏。ロシア・ワールドカップ(W杯)でモロッコ代表を率い、美しき白シャツダンディー指揮官として、選手をも凌ぐスーパースターと化したフランス人指導者だ。
2019年7月にモロッコ代表を退任後は、すぐさまサウジアラビア代表指揮官に就任し、カタールW杯で同大会王者に輝くアルゼンチン代表を撃破。昨年2月にはフランス女子代表指揮官となり、オーストラリア・ニュージーランド共催女子W杯2023でベスト8。現在も同職に就く。

フランス女子代表の契約を自国開催となる今夏のパリ五輪まで残すなか、五輪後の契約延長は議題に上がっていないとのこと。過去にザンビア代表とコートジボワール代表でアフリカ制覇を経験しているルナール氏は、今のところパリ五輪後にアルジェリア代表指揮官となる公算が強いようだ。
ルナール氏に候補を一本化する可能性もあるとされるアルジェリア側の対応としては、パリ五輪閉幕までに2026年W杯のアフリカ予選があるものの、正式な後任を置かず、暫定指揮官でやり過ごしていく可能性もあるとみられている。

なお、ルナール氏は2011年、アルジェリアを代表する強豪のUSMアルジェを率いた経験を持つ。

アルジェリア代表、新指揮官にウラジミール・ペトコビッチ氏を招へい

アルジェリアサッカー協会(FAF)は29日、ウラジミール・ペトコビッチ氏(60)を新監督に招へいしたことを発表した。 ラツィオで優れた手腕を発揮したペトコビッチ氏は、2014年ブラジル・ワールドカップ(W杯)後にスイス代表監督に就任。以降、ユーロ2016でベスト16、ロシアW杯でもベスト16、そしてユーロ2020ではスイスを初のベスト8進出に導いていた。 その後、スイス代表との契約を早期解消して2021年7月に就任したボルドーでは成績不振によってわずか半年で解任されていた。 アフリカ・ネーションズカップ(CAN)2023でグループステージ敗退の屈辱を味わったアルジェリア。この結果を受け、アルジェリアサッカー協会(FAF)は1月25日に2018年から長期政権を築いていたジャメル・ベルマディ監督(47)の解任を発表していた。 なお、FAFによればペトコビッチ氏は3月4日にアルジェリアに到着し、5日に記者会見を行うとのことだ。 2024.03.01 00:01 Fri

まさかのメキシコ移籍から9年弱、気づけば38歳…元フランス代表FWジニャックが史上3人目の大記録達成!

「10点満点の美しさ」「素晴らしいと言わざるを得ない」リークされたフランス代表の新ユニフォームに絶賛の嵐「とてもクラシック」
