オランダ代表のルイス・ファン・ハール監督が、アメリカ代表戦を振り返った。

オランダは3日、カタール・ワールドカップ(W杯)ラウンド16でオランダ代表と対戦。10分にデパイのゴールで先制したオランダは、前半終了間際にもブリントが追加点を奪った。

その後、後半に1点を返されたオランダだったが、81分にダンフリースがゴールネットを揺らし、3-1で勝利しベスト8進出を決めた。

試合後に会見に臨んだファン・ハール監督は、勝利を喜びながらも、2点を奪った前半の試合内容には納得いってなかったと語った。

｢ハーフタイムにとても厳しい言葉を口にしたんだ。我々は前半に2つの素晴らしいゴールを決めて、2-0とリードしていたが、前半はボールを奪われることが多く苦戦していた。ワールドカップでそのようなプレーは許されない。強豪チーム相手にそんなプレーをしたら、通用するわけないからね。後半は見違えるほどボールを持つことができた。失点しても強気のパフォーマンスを見せてくれていた｣

｢私は1年前から我々は世界チャンピオンになれると言ってきた。今大会で絶対そうなるとは言えないが、可能性は十分にあるだろう。以上だ｣

香川真司がユナイテッド退団の転機を明らかに「ディ・マリアとファルカオがやって来て…」

「まだ多くのチームが戦っている」男女平等が進み切らないサッカー界、アメリカ代表FWモーガンが女子W杯を語る「女子サッカーの成長を証明するものに」

アメリカ女子代表のFWアレックス・モーガンが、7月に開幕する女子ワールドカップ(W杯)に向けてメッセージを伝えた。イギリス『BBC』が伝えた。モーガンは2010年にアメリカ女子代表デビュー。20歳の時にデビューを果たすと、その後アメリカのエースに成長した。 2011年、なでしこジャパンが優勝を成し遂げたドイツ女子W杯でW杯初出場。日本との決勝でもゴールを決めるなど脅威となった。 2012年にはロンドン・オリンピックで金メダル、2015年にはW杯優勝。クラブレベルでもアメリカでのプレーだけでなく、リヨンやトッテナムなどヨーロッパでもプレーを経験している。現在は結婚し、母にもなったモーガン。W杯に向けてのインタビューでは、前回大会の前にアメリカ女子代表が男女平等を求める訴訟を起こし、2022年に合意。今回は男女平等の条件でW杯に臨むこととなる。「私たちだけではない。まだ多くのチームが戦っている」「私たちのチームは、同一賃金、同一賞金、同一労働条件を達成し、2019年のW杯に臨んだ時とは、ある意味異なる領域にいる」「でも、スペインを見てみれば、このワールドカップに絶対に出場すべき選手たちが、チーム内の不平等のために出場できない人たちがいる」アメリカは女子サッカー界では珍しい条件を掴んでいるが、ヨーロッパの強豪であるスペインでは、2022年に15選手が監督との確執により招集を拒否。その余波は残っており、今回のW杯には15人のうち3人しか参加できない。女子サッカーの待遇改善は世界中で訴えられており、先日はジャマイカ女子代表が水準以下の支援を訴え、「とても失望している」と表明している。国際プロサッカー選手会(FIFPRO)も女子選手が適切なメディカルチェックを受けていないということを訴え、格差がまだあることは明らかな状況となっている。一方で、国際サッカー連盟(FIFA)は男女のW杯の地位を同じにしたいと考えており、賞金や放映権など外堀を同水準にあげる準備を進めている。結果として、放映権料が高騰し、世界中で放送が決まらない事態が生まれ、多くの国で問題は解決したが、日本ではまだ放送が決定していない状況だ。ただ、モーガンは競技レベルを含めても、今回の女子W杯が成長していることを証明できると感じているようだ。「今回のワールドカップはこれまでで最も注目され、最も多くの参加者が集い、最も多くの収益をもたらすものになると思う」「FIFAがそれを尊重し、これまでよりもずっと女子サッカーを重視していることがわかり始めている。それがスポンサー、連盟、そしてサッカー界の全ての人に受け入れるようにプレッシャーをかけていると思う」「今回のワールドカップは女子サッカーの成長を証明するものとなり、素晴らしいショーを披露できることを願っている」規模も拡大され、年々レベルも上がっている女子サッカー。選手たちの思いが届き、多くの国で状況が改善されるか。まずはピッチ上での躍動を見せてもらいたいところだ。 2023.06.24 21:55 Sat

プリシッチが通算3度目のアメリカ男子年間最優秀選手賞!

チェルシーに在籍するアメリカ代表FWクリスティアン・プリシッチ(23)が、2021年度のアメリカ男子年間最優秀選手賞を受賞した。同賞はアメリカ合衆国サッカー連盟(USSF)が任命する国内メディア、同連盟に属する指導者や関係者の投票に加え、今年度からファンによる一般投票(15%)が認められていた。そして、男子最優秀選手賞は昨シーズンのチェルシーでアメリカ人選手で初となるチャンピオンズリーグ(CL)制覇を成し遂げ、アメリカ代表においても2019–20シーズンのCONCACAFネーションズリーグ優勝に貢献したプリシッチ。同選手は2017年、2019年に続く通算3度目の受賞となり、クリント・デンプシー氏、ランドン・ドノバン氏、ケーシー・ケラー氏に続く史上4人目の3度以上の受賞者となった。今回の投票では最終候補6名の中で31%の投票を獲得。次点はアメリカ代表GKマット・ターナー(ニューイングランド・レボリューション)、3位には同MFブレンデン・アロンソン(ザルツブルク)が入っていた。また、アメリカ男子年間最優秀若手選手賞にはFCダラスに在籍するアメリカ代表FWリカルド・ペピ(18)が初受賞している。メジャーリーグ・サッカー(MLS)でゴールを量産した逸材ストライカーは、今年に入ってフル代表デビュー。すでにヨーロッパのビッグクラブ移籍が予想される大器だ。 2021.12.20 23:16 Mon
