ビッグクラブ注目のダルウィン・ヌニェス、マンチェスター・ユナイテッドとニューカッスルのオファーを拒否

ベンフィカで活躍するウルグアイ代表FWダルウィン・ヌニェス(22)の去就が注目されている。

母国の強豪ペニャロール出身のヌニェスは、2019年夏にアルメリアに移籍し欧州上陸。その1年目にラ・リーガ2部で30試合16ゴールの活躍を披露し、2020年夏に2400万ユーロの移籍金でベンフィカに加入した。

187cmの身長に巧みなドリブル、ゴールへの嗅覚を武器とする万能型センターFWのヌニェスは、新天地でも公式戦44試合で14ゴール12アシストと、初年度としては上々の結果を残す。だが、今シーズンはさらに覚醒。リーグ戦では28試合で26ゴール、自身初のチャンピオンズリーグでも10試合で6ゴールを挙げるなど、公式戦41試合で34ゴールという圧巻の成績を残した。

この活躍には当然ビッグクラブが注目。マンチェスター・シティやバルセロナ、バイエルンなど錚々たるクラブの関心が伝えられる中、1月にはイギリス『スカイ・スポーツ』が、ウェストハムが金銭面でベンフィカと合意していると報じていた。

ただ、フランス『RMC Sport』に勤めるロイク・タンジ記者によると、ヌニェスはチャンピオンズリーグに出られるクラブへの移籍を求めている模様。この理由から、マンチェスタ・ユナイテッドやニューカッスルからのオファーには断りを入れたと伝えられている。

なお、現状ではパリ・サンジェルマンが22歳の争奪戦をリードしているとのこと。この夏注目の一人となりそうだ。
