ブレントフォードのスペイン代表GKダビド・ラヤ(27)に、プレミアリーグのビッグクラブが関心を寄せているようだ。イギリス『テレグラフ』が報じている。

スペイン出身ながら若くしてブラックバーンの下部組織に入団し、イングランドでのキャリアを積んでいるラヤ。一度セミプロクラブへのレンタル移籍を経てブラックバーンでプロデビュー。2019年夏に当時チャンピオンシップに所属していたブレントフォードに移籍した。

ブレントフォードでは1年目から正GKとしてリーグ戦46試合に出場し、2年目にプレミアリーグ昇格。クラブとしても個人としても初のプレミアリーグ挑戦となった2021-22シーズンは、ヒザの負傷で離脱した期間を除けば引き続き守護神の座を守り、今季もここまでリーグ戦全試合に出場し、8位と好位置につけるチームを支えている。

優秀なGKが集うプレミアリーグでも引けを取らないパフォーマンスを披露するラヤだが、やはりビッグクラブからの魔の手が。『テレグラフ』によれば、チェルシーとマンチェスター・ユナイテッドが関心を示しており、次点でトッテナムの名前も。

ブレントフォードとスペイン代表GKの契約は2024年夏までとなっており、移籍金は1700万ユーロから2300万ユーロと比較的安価。正GKがダビド・デ・ヘアやウーゴ・ロリスと高齢化しているユナイテッドやトッテナムはより急を要すると思われるが、果たして。

「高価な食べ物はない」ギネス記録樹立、C・ロナウドのあの肉体の秘訣を専属シェフが明かす

「絶対に謝らない」ハーランド父に復讐したロイ・キーンが“報復”タックルを否定
