チェルシー相手の一撃から1週間…2部ミドルズブラの21歳FWロジャーズがアストン・ビラへ完全移籍
アストン・ビラは1日、ミドルズブラから元U-20イングランド代表FWモーガン・ロジャーズ(21)の完全移籍獲得を発表した。 ロジャーズはチャンピオンシップ(イングランド2部)のミドルズブラでマイケル・キャリック監督に鍛えられていたアタッカー。ワントップに2列目中央、ウイングと様々なポジションで起用されていた21歳は、今季ここまで公式戦33試合7ゴール9アシストを記録している。 これまでの歩みを紐解くと、16歳でマンチェスター・シティの下部組織に加入もファーストチーム昇格はならず、ボーンマス(2部時代)やブラックプールなどへの武者修行を経験。現在までにプレミアリーグ出場歴はないが、世代別のイングランド代表では常連であり、将来を嘱望されてきたタレントと言える。 今季加入のキャリック・ミドルズブラでは、最後の試合となった1月23日のEFLカップ準決勝2ndレグ・チェルシー戦でゴール。チームは1-6と大敗して決勝戦進出を逃したが、ロジャーズ自身はプレミア挑戦への弾みをつける1点となった。 2024.02.01 21:15 Thu
