トゥヘル監督就任に批判的な声も、イングランド人指揮官は「あまり多く語るべきではない」…プレミアでイングランド人監督は1人も優勝なし
史上3人目の外国人監督としてイングランド代表を率いることとなったトーマス・トゥヘル監督。イングランド人以外が指揮を執ることには反対意見も浮上している。 ガレス・サウスゲイト監督がユーロ2024を最後に退任。暫定体制でここまで戦ってきた中、ドイツ人指揮官のトゥヘル監督が就任することが決定した。 サッカーの母国と呼ばれながら、ワールドカップの優勝はない自国開催の1966年が最後。ユーロではサウスゲイト監督の下で2大会連続準優勝と成績を残していたが、優勝は一度もない状況だ。 新監督決定に向けては約10名がイングランドサッカー協会(FA)の面接を受けたとのこと。イングランド出身の指導者も含まれていたが、最終的にはドイツ人のトゥヘル監督に決定した。 元イングランド代表DFのギャリー・ネビル氏は「有害」と外国人監督の招へいに否定的だが、かつてイングランドの世代別代表を指揮していたレスター・シティのスティーブ・クーパー監督は、まだまだイングランド人はレベルアップが必要とし、今の状況では多くを語るべきではないとした。 「時が経つにつれ、英国の指導者がさらに向上し、世界トップクラスに並ぶようになることを期待している」 「その間、我々は与えられたあらゆる機会を生かし、良い仕事をしなければならない。定期的にそれができるようになるまで、あまり多くを語るべきではないかもしれない」 「私はイギリスの文化を心から信じているし、指導者の教育の道も信じている」 ちなみに、プレミアリーグは世界最高峰のリーグの1つと呼ばれているが、4連覇中のマンチェスター・シティを率いるのスペイン人のジョゼップ・グアルディオラ監督。近年リバプールで優勝したのもドイツ人のユルゲン・クロップ監督と外国人監督が続いており、イングランド人監督が優勝したことは過去1度もない。マンチェスター・ユナイテッドを長らく指揮したサー・アレックス・ファーガソン氏やブラックバーンで優勝したケニー・ダルグリッシュ氏はスコットランド人。アーセナルで優勝を経験しているアーセン・ヴェンゲル氏はフランス人、チェルシーで3度優勝しているジョゼ・モウリーニョ氏もポルトガル人と、イングランド人は1人もおらず、意地とは別に外国人に指揮を任せるのも仕方ないかもしれない。 2024.10.17 21:10 Thu

北中米W杯の欧州予選組み合わせ決定! 12カ国+POの4カ国が出場権獲得、来年3月からスタート【2026年北中米W杯欧州予選】

イングランド代表のユニフォームが変? ファンが気づいた異変はベテランキットマンのまさかのミス…「間違ってしまった」

女子選手の意見を参考に配慮し白パンツを中止、ナイキが女子W杯出場13カ国の新ユニフォームを発表!
