シティがアルゼンチン代表FWアルバレスとの契約を2028年まで延長!

マンチェスター・シティは16日、アルゼンチン代表FWフリアン・アルバレス(23)との契約延長を発表した。新たな契約期間は2028年6月30日までとなる。

新契約にサインしたアルバレスは、公式サイトで以下のように喜びを語った。

｢この瞬間は僕と僕の家族にとって、とても誇らしいものだ。シティのようなクラブが、僕に信頼を寄せてくれることは、とても素晴らしいことだ｣

｢ここでの最初のシーズンはとても幸せでしたが、まだやることがたくさんあります。もっと良くなれると思うし、シティは僕の潜在能力を発揮するために必要なすべてを提供してくれる｣

｢監督、コーチ、そして舞台裏で働くシティのみんなに、僕がこの夏に加入してからしてくれたすべてのことに感謝したい。僕はこれ以上求めることはできない。このクラブは選手のケアをしてくれるクラブであり、僕はここで過ごした日々を通じて、とてもサポートされていると感じている｣

｢僕はこれからもっと成長して、シティのトロフィー獲得に貢献することに集中しているよ｣

2022年1月にリーベル・プレートからシティへと完全移籍したアルバレスは、昨年7月までのレンタル移籍でリーベル・プレートに残り、その後シティへ復帰。今季はここまで19試合で5ゴール。チャンピオンズリーグ(CL)でも6試合で2ゴール2アシストを記録している。

また、アルゼンチン代表としてカタール・ワールドカップ(W杯)に出場し、献身的な守備の姿勢を見せながらも4ゴール1アシストを記録するなど、36年ぶり3度目の優勝に貢献した。

別れろと2万件の署名!? W杯4ゴールのアルゼンチンの新鋭・アルバレス、彼女との破局求める嘆願書がファンから出される

「最強のスタジアムになる」シティのスタジアム改修計画が承認!総工費500億円で壮大なエンターテインメント施設へ「めっちゃ豪華」
