その中で迎えた15日のクリスタル・パレス戦。ウルグアイ代表FWには公式戦3試合連続ゴールが期待されたが、1点ビハインドの中、ヌニェスは57分に小競り合いしていた相手のヨアキム・アンデルセンに頭突きを見舞い一発退場に。1点ビハインドだったチームはその後、ルイス・ディアスのゴールで同点に追いついたものの、数的不利が響いて開幕戦から2試合連続ドローという結果に終わった。

ガブリエウとヘンダーソン口論、FAは不問に…「申告された疑惑の発言は確認されなかった」
