クロアチア代表MFイバン・ペリシッチがブラジル代表FWネイマールに感謝した。カタール・ワールドカップ(W杯)準々決勝でブラジルと対戦したクロアチア。120分の激闘の末、PK戦でクロアチアがベスト4進出を決めた。

その試合後には感動的な一幕が。今大会が自身最後のW杯になることを示唆していたブラジルのネイマールは、PK戦後にピッチに座り込み、人目をはばからず号泣。その後、チームメイトに抱き起されて立ち上がって歩き始めたが、涙は止まらなかった。
そんなネイマールに手を差し伸べたのは、ペリシッチの息子であるレオナルド君だった。

当初、ブラジル代表のスタッフはレオナルド君をピッチへの乱入者と誤解したか、一度遠ざけようとしたが、少年は自身がペリシッチの息子であることを何とか説明できたか、ネイマールとの接触に成功。短い言葉を交わしつつ握手とハグを行い、ブラジルのエースを慰めていた。
レオナルド君の優しさとネイマールの紳士的な対応どちらも感動を呼んだシーンであったが、ペリシッチが自身のインスタグラムでこのことに言及。「ありがとうネイマール。息子にとって大きな意味を持つ」と感謝を綴っている。

なお、そのペリシッチもラウンド16の日本代表戦では、悲しみに暮れる日本の選手を労う振る舞いが称賛されていた。

スパーズがペリシッチ獲得を公式発表! コンテ熱望の百戦錬磨の左WBが補強第一号に

夫には早く引退してほしい!?モドリッチと妻の仲良しエピソード
