カタール・ワールドカップ(W杯)を開催した国際サッカー連盟(FIFA)のW杯公式SNSが大会を振り返った。アルゼンチン代表の優勝で幕を閉じたカタールW杯。日本代表もベスト8進出という目標こそ達成はならなかったが、ドイツ代表、スペイン代表に勝利し、世界中を驚かせた。
そして公式SNSは20日、「思い出をありがとう」という一言とともに、出場した全32カ国の選手たちを切り抜き、1枚につなげたエモーショナルな画像を投稿。悲願のW杯トロフィーにキスするアルゼンチン代表FWリオネル・メッシや、日本にも立ちはだかったクロアチア代表GKドミニク・リヴァコビッチなど、大会を彩った選手たちをフォーカスした。
W杯を観ていた人であれば思わず保存したくなるような1枚だが、特に日本のファンの反響を呼んでいる。
その理由は、日本から採用されたMF堂安律のポジション。堂安はフランス代表FWキリアン・ムバッペとリヴァコビッチの間に挟まれる形で、写真のほぼ中央、センターに写っているのだ。ゴールを決めた後、雄叫びをあげている時の写真ということもあり、かなり堂安に視線が集まるような構図になっている。

メッシと妻は30年来の仲、幼馴染の2人が結ばれW杯で優勝するまで

21世紀の出場試合数ランキング発表! 首位は1145試合のC・ロナウド、トップ10に日本人選手がランクイン
