歴史的な勝利の夜でも、これまで通りの活動が行われた。1日、カタール・ワールドカップ(W杯)のグループE最終節で日本代表はスペイン代表と対戦した。
グループ首位のスペインに対し、2位の日本は負ければ敗退。引き分けの場合は他会場次第という状況で、前半にアルバロ・モラタにゴールを許した。だが、ビハインドで迎えた後半直後に堂安律、田中碧のゴールで一気に逆転。そのまま、逃げ切って首位で決勝トーナメント進出を決めた。
グループステージではジェットコースターのような心境を味わうことになった日本のサポーター。歓喜に沸く中でも、現地のファンは試合後に好例となったゴミ拾いを行っていた。

スペイン代表の秘密兵器は約470万円の高級ベッド!5人の選手が愛用
