元なでしこ川澄奈穂美がゴッサムFCを退団…NWSL日本人初の100試合出場者「この決断はとても辛かった」

7月24日から始まったパリ五輪サッカー競技は8月10日の女子決勝で閉幕した。女子はアメリカが3大会ぶり5度目の頂点に立ち、男子はスペインが前回東京大会の雪辱(決勝でブラジルに敗退)を果たし、自国開催だった92年バルセロナ五輪以来2度目の金メダルを獲得した。そこで今回は簡単にパリ五輪を総括したい。まず女子である。グループリーグを突破したベスト8(フランス、ブラジル、スペイン、コロンビア、アメリカ、日本、カナダ、ドイツ)はきわめて順当な顔ぶれであり、準決勝でW杯優勝のスペインがブラジルに2-2からのPK戦を2-4で落として姿を消したのはちょっと意外だった。とはいえ今大会が初出場のスペインに対し、ブラジルは8大会連続の出場で、過去に銀メダルを2回獲得(04年アテネ大会と08年北京大会)している実績もある。世界王者とはいえ、W杯では頂点への過程(グループリーグ)で日本に大敗するなど、まだ盤石の地位を築いているとは言えないようだ。そして決勝ではアメリカが手堅いサッカーでブラジルを1-0で退けて5度目の金メダルを獲得した。長身FWワンバックを中心に圧倒的な強さで五輪3連覇(04、08、12年)を達成した当時と比べると、攻守にスケールダウンした感は否めない。しかしポゼッションスタイルを採り入れつつ、“個の強さ”も生かしたチーム作りに転換している過程での戴冠はさすが“女王”と言っていいだろう。なでしこジャパンにとっては、27年のブラジルW杯、28年のロス五輪を見据え、ベスト8の壁をいかに突破するかが今後の大きな課題となる。男子はグループリーグから少なからぬ波乱があった。グループAとDはそれぞれ開催国のフランスとアメリカ、日本とパラグアイがベスト8進出と順当だった。しかしグループBはモロッコが1位抜けして過去2度の優勝を誇るアルゼンチンは2位通過。そしてグループCもスペインはエジプトの後塵を拝することになった。エジプトは前回東京大会でもグループリーグを突破したが、モロッコは8度目の出場で初の決勝トーナメント進出だ。そして彼らは準々決勝でもパラグアイとアメリカを撃破して初のベスト4に勝ち上がったのである。過去にもアフリカ勢の躍進はあった。96年アトランタ五輪と00年シドニー五輪ではナイジェリアとカメルーンが初の金メダルに輝いている。両チームともブラックアフリカン特有の驚異的な身体能力を生かしての優勝だった。しかしパリ五輪では北アフリカのアラブ勢2チームが大躍進を遂げたのである。まあ、モロッコはカタールW杯でも決勝トーナメント1回戦でスペインをPK戦から下し、準々決勝でもポルトガルを1-0で退けて初のベスト4に進出した実績がある(準決勝でフランスに敗退)。U-23代表は別チームとはいえ、フル代表と同様にほとんどの選手がヨーロッパの5大リーグでプレーし、リーグ・アンに所属している選手も多い。このためパリ五輪は準ホームでの試合だったと言えるだろう。そんな彼らもフランスとスペインの牙城を崩すことはできず、エジプトはフランスに1-3、モロッコはスペインに1-2で敗退したが、エジプトはフランスに先制するなどヨーロッパの伝統国を大いに苦しめた。決勝は、誰もが予想したようにフランス対スペインの組合せとなった。フランスがMFミローの巧シュートで先制したが、すぐさまスペインも反撃して、日本戦でも活躍したMFフェルミン・ロペスが2ゴールで逆転。1-1の同点弾は味方のパスワークにトップ下からするすると攻め上がり、ゴール中央でフリーとなって決めたポゼッションスタイルのお手本のようなゴールだった。その後もスペインが1点を加えて3-1とリードして前半を終了。ところが後半はフランスが猛攻を仕掛け、FKとPKから同点に追いつき延長戦に突入した。延長戦ではスペインのFWセルヒオ・カメージョがスルーパスに抜け出してGK1対1からループシュートで勝ち越すと、GKのロングスローを受けてドリブルで抜け出す電光石火のカウンターからダメ押しの5点目を決めて勝利を確実なものにした。カタールW杯の決勝戦を彷彿させるゴールの応酬によるシーソーゲーム。これほど「手に汗握る」五輪の決勝戦を見るのは初めての経験だった。OA枠がいるとはいえ、レベルの高さに圧倒された。「もしも日本がスペインに勝っていたら」と期待したくなる気持ちもあるだろう。しかし準決勝でエジプトに怒濤の攻撃を仕掛けたフランスは、大会前のテストマッチで対戦したフランスとはまったく別のチームだった。エジプトも、フランスに1-3で逆転負けしたとはいえ、延長戦に持ち込む粘りを見せた。正直、エジプトやモロッコに勝てるかと問われれば、返答に窮してしまう。それだけベスト4に勝ち残ったチームは、勝ち残るだけの底力を持っていて、なおかつそれを遺憾なく発揮した。こうした激戦の数々を、できれば森保一監督にはパリに滞在して肌感覚で体感して欲しかった。 2024.08.12 21:45 Mon

レアル・マドリーのカルロ・アンチェロッティ監督とチェルシー・ウィメンのエマ・ヘイズ監督がヨハン・クライフ・トロフィーを獲得した。 28日、フランスのフットボール専門誌『フランス・フットボール』が主催する2024バロンドール授賞式がパリで開催。今回は最優秀監督賞となるヨハン・クライフ・トロフィーが新設され、男子はアンチェロッティ監督、女子はヘイズ監督が第1回の受賞者に選ばれた。アンチェロッティ監督は2023-24シーズン、自身5度目となるチャンピオンズリーグ(CL)優勝やラ・リーガ制覇を達成。1月のスーペルコパ・デ・エスパーニャや8月のUEFAスーパーカップのタイトルも手にした。 2023-24シーズンまでなでしこジャパンFW浜野まいか擁するチェルシー・ウィメンを率いたヘイズ監督は、FA女子スーパーリーグ(FAWSL)で5連覇を達成。FA女子コンチネンタルリーグカップで準優勝、UEFA女子チャンピオンズリーグ(UWCL)と女子FAカップではベスト4と4冠に迫った。 5月からはアメリカ女子代表を指揮。パリ・オリンピック(五輪)決勝ではブラジル女子代表を破り、12年ぶりの金メダルをもたらした。マドリー陣営はブラジル代表FWヴィニシウス・ジュニオールがバロンドールを逃したことを受け、授賞式に参加せず。アンチェロッティ監督はXで「家族、会長、クラブ、選手たち、そして何よりもヴィニ(ヴィニシウス)とカルバハルに感謝したい」と述べている。また、ヘイズ監督もアルゼンチン女子代表戦を前にしているため不参加。ビデオメッセージで受賞を喜んだ。「女子サッカーの監督として初めてバロンドールを受賞したことをとても光栄に思う」「我々の仕事がいかにチャレンジングなものかは理解している。チームスポーツだから、少し気が引ける部分もある」「チェルシーやアメリカで、このような素晴らしい選手たちを指導できてとても光栄に思う。今日はとても誇らしい日だ」 2024.10.29 17:15 Tue
