アフリカサッカー連盟(CAF)の選手紹介映像がコミカルだ。7月2日から23日にかけてモロッコで行われるアフリカ女子ネーションズカップ(WAFCON)2022。29日に組み合わせ抽選会が行われるが、それに先立ってCAFは著名選手の紹介VTRを作成した。
登場したのはバルセロナ女子でも活躍するナイジェリア女子代表FWアシサト・オショアラだ。CAFは代表の愛称を用いて「“スーパー・ファルコンズ”のスーパースター&ゴールマシンが7月のWAFCON2022でもたらす魔法の一部」と紹介。この動画が日本のビデオゲームを想起させる作りとなっている。
レトロゲームのオープニング風に始まる動画は「PLAY◀」のクリックとともにスタートする。どこか聞き覚えのあるBGMに8ビット時代を思わせるフォント。シュートやゴールにもエフェクトが掛けられ、ドリブルで相手を抜くシーンではボーナススコアも表示させるなど、非常に凝った作りとなっている。

スピード「99」、“快足ウインガー”で認知度抜群のババンギダ氏が交通事故で重傷…日本でのU-17世界選手権で優勝した弟は他界
“ティジャニ・ババンギダ”という名前を聞いたことがあるサッカーファンは少なくないのではないだろうか。人気サッカーゲーム『ウイニングイレブン(eFootball)』のシリーズで驚異的なスピードを武器に一世を風靡した選手だ。 現役時代は快足ウイングとしてナイジェリア代表としても活躍したそのババンギダ氏だが、弟のイブラヒム・ババンギダ氏が運転する車がナイジェリアで交通事故。弟のイブラヒム氏は事故により他界、ティジャニ氏は重傷を負い病院に搬送されたが、容体は安定しているという。オランダ『AD』が伝えた。 事故はナイジェリアの高速道路で発生。イブラヒム氏が運転する車には、ディジャニ氏と妻、そしてメイドも同乗していたとのこと。イブラヒム氏だけが他界し、3人は重傷ではあるものの、命は助かっているという。 イブラヒム氏は、ナイジェリア国内でプレーし、1997年から2002年までオランダのフォレンダムでプレーしていた。また、1993年には日本で開催されたFIFA U-17世界選手権(現:U-17ワールドカップ)で優勝したメンバーの1人だった。 重傷となったディジャニ氏は、ローダやVVVフェンロ、アヤックス、フィテッセなど、オランダで長らくプレー。そのほか、トルコやサウジアラビア、中国でもプレーした。 前述の通り快足ウインガーとして名を馳せ、ゲームの影響で日本では知る人が多い選手に。ナイジェリア代表としては40試合に出場し1998年のフランス・ワールドカップにも出場。1996年のアトランタ・オリンピックでは金メダルを獲得していた。 <span class="paragraph-title">【写真】交通事故で他界したババンギダ氏の弟</span> <span data-other-div="movie"></span> <blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Inna lillahi wainna illahir Rajiun. 「優遇されてない?」毎度デザインが大人気のナイジェリア、新ユニフォームも支持される「カッコ悪いのを見たことがない」「他国のファンだが買おう」
