マンチェスター・ユナイテッドのイングランド代表FWメイソン・グリーンウッドにDV疑惑が浮上している。『ESPN』など複数メディアが報じるところによると、同選手のガールフレンドであるハリエット・ロブソンさんのインスタグラムの投稿でその疑惑が浮上。アザだらけになった体や、口から血を流す写真、さらには音声データを証拠に、パートナーからの暴力があったと主張する旨の投稿があったようだ。
音声データでは、ロブソンさんがグリーンウッドと主張する人物が性行為を強要するようなセリフが聞き取れたようで、「メイソン・グリーンウッドが私にしたことを知りたい人たちへ」というコメントもつけられていた。
この件に関して、すでにグレーターマンチェスター警察と調査を進めているというクラブは30日に声明を発表。「事実が明らかになるまで、これ以上のコメントはしません。マンチェスター・ユナイテッドはいかなる種類の暴力も容認しません」としている。

「後悔が1つある」カントナが“カンフーキック”事件を回顧「もっと強く蹴っていれば…」
