そんな中、SNS上の1本の動画が話題に。ベルギー代表に遭遇した少年は、お目当ての選手との写真を撮ろうとタイミングをうかがう。そのことに気が付いたアンリ氏は歩みを緩め、優しく写真撮影に応じようとした。

大事件から14年…W杯の夢閉ざされた元アイルランド代表DF、アンリ氏への恨み消えず 「ナンセンス」
元アイルランド代表DFのリチャード・ダン氏が元フランス代表FWティエリ・アンリ氏への恨みを語った。イギリス『ミラー』が伝えている。 現役時代のダン氏はマンチェスター・シティに9年間在籍。中東資本参入前の低迷期を支えたレジェンドで、プレミアリーグ通算432試合出場を誇る。 一方、アイルランド代表としてはW杯のピッチに立てず。2002年の日韓大会は本大会メンバーに選出されているが、出場機会は訪れなかった。 ダン氏がW杯出場に再び近づいたのは、2010年の南アフリカ大会。本大会行きを懸けたフランス代表との欧州予選プレーオフ・1stレグを0-1で敗れたなか、アウェイでの2ndレグは90分間を戦って1-0とし、決着は延長戦に委ねられた。 ここで起きたのが、あの有名な事件だ。当時のフランス代表FWアンリ氏に勝ち越し点を決められた際、アイルランド代表はゴール直前にボールがアンリ氏の左手に触れていたとして猛抗議。確かにボールはアンリ氏に触れていたが、判定は覆らず、この1点が決勝点となってアイルランド代表は欧州予選敗退となった。 サッカー史に残る大事件から14年弱。フランス『レキップ』のインタビューでこの出来事を振り返ったダン氏は、アンリ氏の試合終了直後の振る舞いを「ナンセンス」だとして非難している。 「アンリは試合後に私にハンドを認めた。『どうしてそんなことを私に言うのだろう?』と思ったよ。それは数分前にレフェリーに言うことだろう。敗退に落胆していた私にとって追い打ちをかける出来事だ。彼のせいでさらに気分が悪くなった」 「私が彼の立場なら、絶対にそんなことを口にしたりしない。彼はショーマンシップが働いたのだ。彼のことをナイスガイだと思っていたが、あの謝罪方法はナンセンスだ」 当時はVARが導入されておらず、アイルランドサッカー協会(FAI)の再試合要求も実らず。結局、ダン氏は最後までW杯のピッチに立つことなく、2015年に現役を引退。悔やみきれない思いが今もあるのだろう。 2023.03.28 15:55 Tue

頭部同士が激しく激突、動けず12分間も治療…担架で運ばれたイングランド女子代表DFにはスタンドから拍手

「エレガントだ」「絶対に買う」ベルギー代表の新ユニフォームが好評!カラーリング一新でファンの間でも話題に「とてもカッコいい」
