バルセロナのDFセルジーニョ・デストがアメリカ代表でも初ゴールを決めた。アメリカ代表は25日、国際親善試合でジャマイカ代表と対戦。デストは左サイドバックで先発出場した。
すると34分、自陣左サイドからドリブルで持ち上がると、バイタルエリア左から中央へ切り込み、ペナルティーアーク手前で右足を一閃。GKが届かないゴール右に突き刺し、先制点をマークした。なお、デストのゴールで勢いに乗ったアメリカはゴールを重ね、4-1で大勝している。
デストは、21日に行われたラ・リーガ第28節のレアル・ソシエダ戦でラ・リーガ初ゴールを含むドブレーテの活躍をみせ、アメリカ人史上初の1試合複数ゴール達成者となっていた。
試合後、デストはゴールについて解説。人気サッカーゲーム「FIFA」のイメージだと語った。

第二のプリシッチ現れるか! プリシッチが地元にトレーニング施設を開設 「すべての子供たちに刺激を」
