データおよびテクノロジーにおけるリーディングカンパニーの「ニールセン・グレースノート」が、オーストラリア&ニュージーランド女子ワールドカップ(W杯)に出場する選手のインフルエンサーとしてのランキングを発表した。
なでしこジャパンも出場する女子W杯。開幕までおよそ1カ月となった中で、各国の出場選手も決定している。
「ニールセン・グレースノート」は出場する選手の中での、インフルエンサーとしてのランキングを発表。フォロワーやフォロワーの増加、エンゲージメント率など、インスタグラム上の投稿ごとの平均ブランド価値を評価してランキングを発表した。
トップ10が発表され、実に9カ国の選手がランクイン。アメリカ女子代表のみが唯一2選手がランクインしている。
1位に輝いたのは、アストン・ビラでプレーするスイス女子代表のアリーシャ・レーマン。世界一セクシーなアスリートとしても知られ、インスタグラムのフォロワーは1340万人。元プロテニスプレーヤーのロジャー・フェデラーを超え、インスタグラムで最も人気のあるスイス人アスリートとなっている。
アストン・ビラでは2シーズンでFA女子スーパーリーグ(FAWSL)で43試合に出場し7ゴール。スイス代表としても38キャップを記録している。
2位には、バルセロナのエースでありスペイン女子代表のエースでもあるMFアレクシア・プテジャス。フォロワーは280万人であり、1位のレーマンがどれほどのフォロワーを抱えているかがわかる。
2シーズン連続でUEFA年間最優秀女子選手、バロンドールを受賞。2021年にはFIFA最優秀女子選手賞を受賞している。

「ソーシャルメディア上での自分の行動について心から謝罪したいと思います。不快で、無神経で、傷つける投稿に『いいね!』をしたり共有したりすることは、未熟で失礼な行為であり、決して私の意図するところではありませんでした。自分自身にひどく失望していますし、チームメイトや他の選手、ファンや友人、それから気分を害した方々へ、深くお詫び申し上げます」
20歳のアルバートは、昨年末に代表デビューを飾ったばかりの新星MFで、2024CONCACAF W ゴールドカップでは、かつてラピノーさんが背負っていた「15」番を背負い、アメリカの優勝に貢献。なでしこジャパンも参加するShebelieves Cupへ向けたメンバーにも名を連ねている。

ナイキは3日、今夏オーストラリアとニュージーランドで開催される女子ワールドカップ(W杯)に向けたユニフォームを発表した。
なでしこジャパンも出場する今年の女子W杯。9都市10のスタジアムで開催される。
ナイキは本大会に出場する国のユニフォームを発表。パワフルな女子サッカー選手の独自のニーズに合わせて調整され、女性特有の動きに対応した新しいフィットと素材のイノベーションを採用しているという。
出場32カ国中13カ国のユニフォームサプライヤーであるナイキだが、今回は特に女子選手の意見をもとにデザインや開発を行ったという。
その中で、大きな変化の1つはイングランド女子代表。これまでは上下白がベースとなっていたが、W杯では青のパンツを履くことになるという。
その理由は、女子選手が訴える生理の問題の懸念だ。イングランドのクラブでもマンチェスター・シティやWBA、スウォンジー・シティの女子チームの選手が、生理中に白いパンツを履くことを懸念していたとのこと。その結果、クラブとサプライヤーが対応して白以外のパンツに変更していた。
ナイキは女子選手のそうした意見を受けて、イングランドのパンツを白から青に変更。13カ国のホームとアウェイユニフォーム26着のうち、白のパンツはブラジル女子代表のアウェイのみという状況になった。
ナイキの対応には選手たちも感謝を示しているとのこと。また、ナイキの最新のスポーツブラも提供され、より快適にプレーできるようになるようだ。

アメリカ代表FWヘスス・フェレイラ(FCダラス/22)が同国代表史上初となる2試合連続ハットトリックを達成した。
アメリカは現在、アメリカとカナダの共催で行われているCONCACAFゴールドカップ2023に参戦中。ヘスス・フェレイラは現地時間6月28日に行われたグループステージ第2節のセントクリストファー・ネイビス代表戦(6-0〇)に先発出場し、ハットトリックを達成した。
さらに続く2日の第3節、トリニダード・トバゴ代表戦(6-0〇)にも先発出場。前半だけで再び3得点を挙げ、アメリカ代表史上初の2試合連続ハットトリック達成者となった。
また、ヘスス・フェレイラにとっては代表で通算3度目のハットトリックに。ランドン・ドノバン氏と並び、歴代最多タイの回数となった。なお、女子の歴代最多ハットトリック回数はミア・ハム氏の10回となっている。
新進気鋭のストライカーは、2020年2月1日、コスタリカ代表との国際親善試合で代表デビュー。カタール・ワールドカップ(W杯)のメンバー入りも果たし、これまで代表キャップ21試合で14得点という、驚異的な得点力を見せ付けている。
今大会は若手を中心に編成されたメンバーながらも、ヘスス・フェレイラらの活躍により、得失点差でジャマイカ代表を上回ってグループステージを突破。9日の準々決勝に駒を進めた。
アメリカ『ワシントン・ポスト』は「あまり得点することを考えすぎると、それが頭から離れなくなってしまう。だから、試合では自分ができることに集中して試合を楽しむことだけを考えている」と、ヘスス・フェレイラの言葉を伝える。

ネブラスカは右サイドの深い位置でスローインを獲得すると、スロワーのジョーダン・ゼイドは短い助走からハンドスプリングスロー。飛距離の出たボールは右ポケット奥でワンバウンドし、浮き上がりをエレノア・デイルがバイシクルで叩き込んだ。
リーグの公式X(旧:ツイッター)アカウントも「なんという反転ゴールだ!」と驚愕。動画には「ピッチ上には体操チームがいたのか?」、「SportsCenterのTop10入り間違いなし」、「冗談でしょ?」など、同様に驚きの声が寄せられた。
なお、ゼイドは10分後にもロングスローでアシストをマーク。こちらはノーバウンドでヘディング弾をお膳立てしている。
