モンツァは5日、シャフタール・ドネツクからブラジル人DFマルロン(26)を獲得したことを発表した。契約期間は今シーズン終了までの1年となる。
今回の移籍は、国際サッカー連盟(FIFA)によるロシア・ウクライナリーグに所属する外国籍選手の特例移籍措置が使用されており、フリートランスファーの形となる。
マルロンは、フルミネンセの下部組織出身で2014年1月にファーストチームへ昇格。2016年7月にバルセロナBへとレンタル移籍すると、2017年7月にバルセロナへと完全移籍した。
バルセロナ加入後は、ニースへとレンタル移籍を経験。バルセロナのファーストチームでは3試合の出場に終わり、2018年8月にサッスオーロへと完全移籍。その後、昨夏にはシャフタールに5年契約で加入していたが、今年2月のロシアによるウクライナへの軍事侵攻の影響を受け、キャリアの一時休止を余儀なくされていた。
なお、サッスオーロ時代にセリエAでは65試合に出場しており、昇格組モンツァにとっては元イタリア代表DFアンドレア・ラノッキアと共にディフェンスラインの中心としての活躍が期待されるところだ。

ウクライナに居るブラジル人選手たちが危機を訴えている。
24日早朝、ロシアのウラジーミル・プーチン大統領は、緊張が続いていたウクライナに対し、軍事侵攻を行うことを決断。ウクライナ東部で特別軍事作戦を行うことを決めたと発表した。
ロシア側は、支援する親ロシア派武装勢力が一部を占領するウクライナ東部の住民の保護が目的としている一方で、ウクライナ側は全面的な攻撃であると受け止め、ロシアを非難する事態となっている。
そんな中、ウクライナの名門であるシャフタール・ドネツクのウクライナ代表FWジュニオール・モラエスが自身のインスタグラムのストーリーズを更新。「全ての友人や家族の状況は深刻であり、僕たちはキエフで解決策が出されるのを待っています!ホテルの中にいます。僕たちのために祈ってください」と、現在の状況を訴えていた。
ジュニオール・モラエスはブラジル出身で、ウクライナに帰化。ウクライナ代表として11試合に出場し1ゴールを決めている。
シャフタールには多くのブラジル人選手が所属。DFマルロンとFWダビド・ネレスは、多くのブラジル人たちと動画を撮影。インスタグラムでは「やあ、みんな。本当に絶望的だ。僕たちはカオスの中で生きている。クラブからも応援してもらっている。ただ、その絶望感は耐え難い。そして、国からの支援を期待している。我々はウクライナにいる全てのブラジル人の代表として話している」と、支援を訴えていた。
多くのブラジル人が在住するウクライナ。ブラジルのジャイール・ボルソナーロ大統領もツイッターで「私は、ウクライナにいるブラジル人を保護し、支援するための努力に全力で取り組んでいます」と投稿。「キエフの私たちの大使館は開いたままで、ウクライナに住む約500人のブラジル市民と一時的にそこにいる他のすべての市民を助ける準備ができています」と、保護を進めているとした。
ウクライナでは現時点で137人の国民が命を落としたとのこと。負傷者も300人を超えているとウォロディミル・オレクサンドロヴィチ・ゼレンスキー大統領が発表していた。
