2020年にアトレティコ・マドリー下部組織からユナイテッドアカデミーの門を叩いたガルナチョ。今年3月にアルゼンチン代表候補として活動にも参加した逸材で、ユナイテッドでも昨季終盤にファーストチームデビューを遂げた。
7月に18歳になったばかりのガルナチョだが、元々左右の前腕にはタトゥーが彫られていた。そして、右腕の上腕部にもガッツリとタトゥーを入れることにしたようだ。
自身のインスタグラムのストーリーズで公開した右腕には、ウェントワース・ミラーが演じる『プリズン・ブレイク』シリーズの主人公マイケル・スコフィールドの上半身。さらに、ドミニク・パーセルが演じるリンカーン・バローズとロバート・ネッパーが演じているティーバッグの顔も描かれている。

マンチェスター・ユナイテッドがクラブOBの息子たちとプロ契約を交わしたようだ。
そのクラブOBとは元スコットランド代表MFのダレン・フレッシャー氏だ。ユナイテッドではアカデミー出身の選手として2003〜2015年まで活躍。当時のチームが華やかなメンツで彩られるなか、豊富な運動量と献身性をもってして中盤の主力としてプレーした。
そんなフレッシャー氏も40歳となり、古巣ユナイテッドのテクニカルディレクターを務める傍ら、私生活では大きく育った息子たちのパパ。双子のジャックとタイラーは昨夏にマンチェスター・シティのアカデミーからユナイテッドのアカデミーに移籍し、話題を集めた。
イギリス『デイリー・メール』によると、2人はユナイテッド入りして以来、印象的で、ジャックの方はエリク・テン・ハグ監督に好印象を与えてシニアチームの練習に急きょ参加したほど。今年3月19日が17歳の誕生日だった両者は揃ってプロ契約にサインしたという。

23日に行われたヨーロッパリーグ(EL)プレーオフ2ndレグでバルセロナをホームに迎え撃ったユナイテッド。前半に先制を許したものの、選手を入れ替えた後半の2発で2-1の逆転勝利。2戦合計4-3で見事に16強入りを決めた。
ガルナチョはバルセロナ戦に途中出場。決勝点となったアントニーのゴールの場面ではゴールに絡む活躍も見せていたが、試合後のSNSでの投稿が物議を醸している。
「ビッグチームが通過する」という挑戦的なコメントともに添えられたのは、この試合を前に髪を金色に染めたガルナチョが両手を目に当ててメガネを作るポーズを捉えた1枚だ。
このポーズは、この試合をケガで欠場したバルセロナのスペイン代表MFペドリがゴールパフォーマンス時に行うもの。ガルナチョはペドリに対して何か言っているわけではないが、スペイン『ムンド・デポルティボ』も「負傷のためプレーできなかったペドリを明らかに模倣し、馬鹿にしている。エリートのサッカー選手としてのキャリアがまだ浅い18歳にしては、非常に悪趣味なジェスチャーだ」と断罪している。
実際、ガルナチョの投稿にはバルセロナのファンと思われる人々からの怒りの声が多く寄せられており、炎上している状況だ。

マンチェスター・ユナイテッドのアルゼンチン代表FWアレハンドロ・ガルナチョがスーパーな一撃を振り返った。
ユナイテッドは26日のプレミアリーグ第13節でエバートンのホームに乗り込み、3-0の勝利。ここまで接戦が続いたが、初の快勝と呼べるスコアで3連勝を成し遂げた。
この勝利を呼び込んだのが先制弾のガルナチョ。3分、右サイドからのクロスに大外から右足のオーバーヘッドキックに持ち込むと、勢いよくゴール右に突き刺さった。

マンチェスター・ユナイテッドのアルゼンチン代表FWアレハンドロ・ガルナチョが自宅を売りに出しているとのことだ。イギリス『サン』が伝えた。
ガルナチョはユナイテッドのアカデミー育ちで2022年7月にファーストチームに昇格。今シーズンはプレミアリーグで29試合に出場し4ゴール1アシスト。ヨーロッパリーグ(EL)でも10試合で1ゴール3アシストを記録するなど、公式戦46試合で9ゴール8アシストを記録している。
低迷するユナイテッドにおいて、希望でもあるガルナチョだが、チームの状況に不満もあるとされ、移籍の噂も度々浮上している。
そんな中、『サン』が自宅を売りに出したと報道。2024年4月にグレーター・マンチェスターに7つのベッドルームがある豪邸を購入したものの、現在は密かに売りに出していると報道。380万4000ポンド(約7億2300万円)で購入したものの、385万ポンド(約7億3200万円)で売却するという。
3月28日から不動産業者によって販売されている豪邸であり、この報道を受けてユナイテッドからの退団が加速するという見方も出ている中、必ずしもそうではないようだ。
ガルナチョの関係者によれば、ユナイテッドからの移籍を考えていることはないとのこと。自宅の売却に関しては、昨夏ガルナチョの家族と兄弟がイギリスに住んでいたために購入したものの、彼らはスペインへと移住。家が広くなりすぎたため、より小さな家に引っ越したいと考えているためだという。
とはいえ、移籍の可能性がなくなったわけでもない。低迷するクラブに長くいることは望んでおらず、ビッグクラブからの関心もあるなkで、どういった決断を下すだろうか。
