アル・ナスルのポルトガル代表FWクリスティアーノ・ロナウドが、マンチェスター・ユナイテッドのデンマーク代表FWラスムス・ホイルンドの模倣ゴールパフォーマンスに言及した。

23日に控えるUEFAネーションズリーグ(UNL)準々決勝2ndレグのデンマーク代表戦前日会見に出席したC・ロナウドは、20日に行われた1stレグで決勝点を決めた際、自身のゴールパフォーマンスを模倣したホイルンドについて次のように話した。

｢問題ない。彼が僕を尊敬していないからやったことではないとわかっていた。彼だけでなく世界中のスポーツ選手が僕のゴールパフォーマンスを真似てくれるのは名誉なことだ。でも、明日は彼が僕のパフォーマンスを見てくれるといいな｣

一方で0-1で先勝を許しているポルトガルは勝利できなければ敗退となるため、緊迫感に迫られているという。

｢空気は張り詰めている。それを隠すことはない。僕らは勝利しなければならないから緊張している。それがサッカーの美しいところだ。明日はファンの皆さんの応援を呼びかける。僕らはベストを尽くすので皆さんの力を貸して欲しい。得点できれば嬉しいが、できなくても誰かに得点させたい。僕が望むのはポルトガルの勝利だ｣

「高価な食べ物はない」ギネス記録樹立、C・ロナウドのあの肉体の秘訣を専属シェフが明かす

世界中で大きな話題となっているアルゼンチン代表FWリオネル・メッシのバルセロナ退団問題。様々な報道がなされ、新天地の候補もいくつか噂されている。メッシがバルセロナを去ることになる要因についても様々なものが挙げられているものの、やはり1つのクラブで長年プレーした選手、しかも世界最高峰の選手が退団を望むということは、サッカー界にとっては事件のようなものだ。 <div id="cws_ad">◆メッシ、バルサとアルゼンチンで積み上げた700のゴール!<br/><div style="margin:0 auto; max-width:100%; min-width:300px; " ><div style="position: relative; padding-bottom:56.25%; height: 0; overflow: hidden; "><iframe src="https://embed.dugout.com/v2/?p=eyJrZXkiOiJpdXJXdEtuTyIsInAiOiJ1bHRyYXNvY2NlciIsInBsIjoiIn0=" style="width: 300px; min-width: 100%; position: absolute; top:0; left: 0; height: 100%; overflow: hidden; " width="100%" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen scrolling="no"></iframe></div></div></div> しかし、過去にもスター選手が、引退以外の形でチームを去って行くことは多くあったが、世界最高峰の選手ともなればそう多くはない。最も記憶にあるのは、やはりポルトガル代表FWクリスティアーノ・ロナウドが挙げられるだろう。世界最高の評価を分け合う2人のスターの退団に関して、類似点と相違点を改めて比較してみたいと思う。 <span class="paragraph-title">◆退団時の年齢</span> C・ロナウドとメッシの年の差は2歳。C・ロナウドはマンチェスター・ユナイテッドから2009年7月にレアル・マドリーへ加入。エースとしてチームを長年牽引すると、2018年7月にユベントスへと移籍。9年間の在籍でチームを去ったが、当時の年齢は「33歳」だった。メッシは、2000年7月にニューウェルズ・オールドボーイズからバルセロナのカンテラに入団。2005年7月にファーストチームへ正式に昇格し、スター選手とプレーをしながら、自身がエースへと成長していった。今夏バルセロナを退団するとなれば、メッシも「33歳」。奇しくも、長年のライバルであったC・ロナウドと同じ年齢で、長年活躍したチームを去ることとなる。 <span class="paragraph-title">◆クラブ会長との関係</span> 類似点という意味では、選手と会長の関係も似ている部分がある。 C・ロナウドは、マドリーのフロレンティーノ・ペレス会長との関係に問題があり、退団時にはサラリーアップの約束が果たされていないと主張していた。当時、マドリーはC・ロナウドとの契約延長を画策していたが、自身の扱いに不満を覚え、結果的にユベントスへ売却する事となった。一方のメッシも、クラブとの関係は何年にもわたって冷え切っている。今夏にも契約延長交渉を行うとされていたが、一転して交渉がストップ。コーチングスタッフとの確執や、言われもない責任を問われたほか、バルトメウ会長が掲げているクラブのプロジェクトにもうんざりしているとされてきた。また、新たに就任したロナルド・クーマン監督が相棒でもあったウルグアイ代表FWルイス・スアレスに対して電話で構想外を伝えたことが決定打となったともされ、クラブの進む方向性に大きな疑念を抱いた結果が、今回の退団希望につながったようだ。互いに会長との関係がこじれた結果、退団を希望するという状況に。その点では似ていると言えるだろう。一方で相違点もいくつかある。 <span class="paragraph-title">◆クラブにおける存在</span> C・ロナウドとメッシの大きな違いは、クラブにおける存在価値だろう。互いに世界最高峰の選手であることは疑いの余地はないが、かたや移籍で加入した選手、かたや下部組織から育った選手だ。前述の通り、マンチェスター・ユナイテッドから加入したC・ロナウドは公式戦438試合で450ゴール133アシストを記録。ラ・リーガ2回、チャンピオンズリーグ4回など、16のタイトルをもたらせた。一方のメッシは現時点で20年在籍。731試合で634ゴール285アシストを記録し、ラ・リーガ10回、チャンピオンズリーグ4回など、34のタイトルをもたらせている。タイトルの差、クラブで残した数字にも差はあるが、メッシの存在はサッカーを超えたものになっていると言える。バルセロナの人々にとっての存在の大きさは、マドリッドの人々にとってのC・ロナウドとは比較にならないだろう。 <span class="paragraph-title">◆移籍金</span> また、両者の移籍金についても差が生まれることになる。C・ロナウドは3年契約で10億ユーロの契約解除条項があったものの、最終的には1億1200万ユーロ(約140億5000万円)の移籍金でユベントスへと移籍。クラブ側がC・ロナウドの希望に沿った形となった。一方で、メッシはクラブを自分の意思で退団できるリリース条項があったものの、クラブ側は6月10日でその期限が切れていると主張。本来であればフリーで他クラブへ移籍できたところが、この条項が適用されなければ7億ユーロ(約878億円)の契約解除金がかかる可能性も。途方も無い金額だけに、移籍金がかかるのであれば、実質メッシの移籍は不可能と考えるべきだろう。 <span class="paragraph-title">◆監督との関係</span> また、監督との関係も異なる。C・ロナウドが退団したタイミングで指揮を執っていたのはジネディーヌ・ジダン監督だ。ジダン監督はC・ロナウドを信頼しており、チームの中でも当然のことながら中心に置いて考えていた。一方で、キケ・セティエン監督との関係もあまり良くなかったメッシだが、新たに就任したロナルド・クーマン監督はよりその間に溝を生むことに。「チームを優先する」という明確な意図を示したクーマン監督だが、メッシが気にしたのはスアレスへの扱い。自身のことよりも、チームメイトへの扱いを大きく気にしているとも言われ、今回の決断をしたとみられている。《超ワールドサッカー編集部・菅野剛史》 2020.08.26 21:15 Wed

北中米W杯の欧州予選組み合わせ決定! 12カ国+POの4カ国が出場権獲得、来年3月からスタート【2026年北中米W杯欧州予選】
