ユベントスは17日、チャンピオンズリーグ(CL)リーグフェーズ開幕節でPSVをホームに迎え、3-1で快勝した。
昨季セリエAで3位となり2季ぶりのCLとなるユベントスは、モッタ体制となって迎えた新シーズンのセリエAでは2連勝スタートから2引き分けとやや停滞気味。そして3日前のゴールレスドローに終わったエンポリ戦のスタメンから2選手を変更し、ドウグラス・ルイスとGKペリンに代えてマッケニーとGKディ・グレゴリオを起用した。
昨季CLベスト16でオランダ王者のPSVに対し、やや守勢の入りとなったユベントスが21分にファインゴールで先制する。
決めたのは新10番で19歳136日、ユベントス史上CL最年少弾となるユルドゥズ。左サイドから中に仕掛けてボックス左に侵入し、見事なコントロールシュートを枠の右上に流し込んだ。
かつての10番デル・ピエロを彷彿とさせるようなゴールで、そのレジェンドの記録を抜いたなか、ここからユベントスが流れを引き寄せていく。

ユルドゥズがユベントスの背番号10に、2029年まで契約延長
