ポルトガル代表でのキャリアが注目されるC・ロナウド

ポルトガル代表FWクリスティアーノ・ロナウドがユーロ2024敗退に沈黙を破った。

5日の準々決勝でフランス代表と対戦したポルトガル。延長戦も含めて0-0で動かず、ラウンド16のスロベニア代表戦に続くPK決着となるが、そこで力尽き、2016年大会以来の優勝ならず。

個人としても6度目の出場となる今回が「最後のユーロ」とし、並々ならぬ思いで挑んだはずの39歳FWも全5試合に先発しながら0ゴール。個人としても悔いを残しての終戦になってしまった。

その敗退から日が経ち、自身のSNSを通じて、大会中の自身や、盟友ペペとの2ショット、そしてサポーターの写真とともに、心境を発信した。
