ブラジル女子代表のアルトゥール・エリアス監督は、敗れたものの一定の手応えを得たようだ。ブラジル『O DIA』が伝えた。

ブラジルは6日、SheBelieves Cup2024でカナダ女子代表と対戦。タルシアニのPKで22分に先制するも、77分にFKから同点ゴールを許し、1-1で90分を終了。PK戦の末に2-4で敗れた。敗れはしたものの、エリアス監督は満足感を示す。オーストラリア&ニュージーランド女子ワールドカップ(W杯)後にピア・スンドハーゲ前監督からバトンを引き継いだ指揮官は、経験の浅い選手を多数招集しながら、2024CONCACAF W ゴールドカップで準優勝。今大会でも東京オリンピックで金メダルのカナダに対し、GKタイナ・ボルヘスやFWジェニファー・コルディナリを代表デビューさせるなど、代謝を促している。

ここに代表100キャップを超えるマルタやクリスティアーネを加え、若手とベテランを融合させたスカッドを形成。「常に複雑なプロセス」と語りながらも、「誰もがベストを尽くし、各々の判断で動ける雰囲気を作り出すことが大切」と指針を掲げ、パリ・オリンピックへ向けた強化を進めている。
