今季加入のアーセナルでも中盤として輝きを放ち続けるなか、今代表活動にも参加するライス。先のブラジル代表との国際親善試合では0-1の敗北を喫したが、49キャップ目となり、26日に国際親善試合のベルギー代表戦を迎える。
イギリス『スカイ・スポーツ』によると、25歳MFはこれまでの歩みを振り返りながら、節目を前にしての心境を言葉にした。
「僕は19歳でこのグループに初めて加わってから、選手としても、人としても大きく成長できたと思う」
「初めてイングランド代表に入ったときはおそらく緊張している選手だったけど、時間が経つにつれ、より多くの大きな試合、大きな大会でプレーできるようになり、すべてを楽しんできたよ」

フランスW杯の戦犯が…ベッカム史上最高のFKから20年「特別な瞬間だった」

これがプロ生活21年の代償か、元イングランド代表GKグリーンの小指は外側に変形

イングランド代表の選手に歴代選手数が書かれた“レガシーキャップ”をプレゼント!最新は1262番
