ユベントスの元フランス代表MFポール・ポグバに対し、4年間の出場停止処分が下されることが決定した。
イタリア『スカイ・スポーツ』によると、イタリア・アンチドーピング裁決機関(TNA)は反ドーピング裁判所の要請を受け入れ、ポグバの資格剥奪を4年間に決定したという。
ポグバは2023年8月20日に行われたセリエA開幕節のウディネーゼ戦で実施されたドーピング検査で陽性反応を示していた。
検査では筋肉量の発達に関与する非内因性起源のテストステロン代謝物がポグバから確認されたという。なお、Bサンプルでも陽性反応を示しており、処分は間違いないと見られていた。
現在30歳のポグバ。およそ2週間後に31歳のバースデーを迎えるが、4年間の出場停止となれば復帰する際には35歳に。ユベントスでのキャリアはもちろんのこと、サッカー選手としてのキャリアも終わるものと予想されている。
