チェルシーの女子チームを率いるエマ・ヘイズ監督が、冷静なコメントを残した。イギリス『BBC』が伝えた。

FA女子スーパーリーグ(FAWSL)は第13節を終え、勝ち点「34」で首位にチェルシー、3ポイント差でシティが2位に付けている。得失点差ではチェルシーがシティを「2」上回っている状況だ。

第14節では両チームが直接対決。今季の優勝を占う大一番は、チェルシーのホーム、キングス・メドウで行われ、日本時間16日の28:15にキックオフを迎える。

チェルシーは現在、リーグカップ、FAカップ、女子チャンピオンズリーグ(UWCL)でも勝ち進んでおり、4冠の可能性を残すなか、今試合で勝利すれば、リーグ5連覇へ大きく近づくと周囲ははやし立てるが、指揮官は冷静。直接対決の重要性を理解しつつ、「タイトルは1、2試合の結果で決まるものではない」とのコメントを残している。
