バーンリー、両SBをこなすDFヴィチーニョと2027年まで契約延長

バーンリーは9月30日、ブラジル人DFヴィチーニョ(24)との契約延長を発表した。新たな契約期間は2027年6月30日までとなる。

新契約にサインしたヴィチーニョは公式サイトで以下のように喜びを語った。

｢ここでの契約を延長できて本当に嬉しい。バーンリーでの日々を楽しんでいるし、これからの日々が楽しみでしょうがないよ｣

｢ファンは僕にとって素晴らしい存在で、加入以来ずっと歓迎してくれている。彼らと一緒にスペシャルな思い出を作るのを楽しみにしているよ｣

2022年の夏にセルクル・ブルージュからバーンリーに加入したヴィチーニョは、加入初年度からレギュラーに定着すると、両サイドバックに加え、両サイドハーフや右ウィングなどでプレーするユーティリティープレーヤーとして、公式戦41試合に出場し3ゴールを記録し、チームのプレミアリーグ昇格に貢献した。

しかし、今季は開幕戦こそフル出場したが、その後はヒザのケガで4試合を欠場。9月30日のニューカッスル戦で戦列に復帰していた。
