ペップも賛辞を送るギュンドアン、バルセロナが獲得に自信?

バルセロナは、マンチェスター・シティのドイツ代表MFイルカイ・ギュンドアン(32)の獲得に依然として自信があるようだ。イギリス『90min』が伝えている。

シティのキャプテンを務めるギュンドアンは、今シーズンの公式戦で45試合に出場し7ゴール3アシストを記録。6日に行われたプレミアリーグ第35節のリーズ・ユナイテッド戦でも2ゴールをあげ、チームの勝利に貢献した。

シティにとって、なくてはならない選手の1人であるギュンドアンに対し、ジョゼップ・グアルディオラ監督は賛辞を残すとともに、残留への思いを話した。

「契約についてはクラブが関わる話だ。クラブはもちろん私の意見も知っている。我々は良いことも悪いことも一緒に決断をしなければいけない。(リーズ戦で)2ゴールを決めていなかったとしても、素晴らしい選手だと言うことは容易にわかるだろう。スペースを読み、アタッキングサードで素晴らしいランニングをし、信じられないほどの知性を見せる」

「私がこのような才能溢れる選手をどれだけ愛し、一緒に仕事をすることをどれくらい楽しんでいるか、今後も一緒に仕事をし続けたいか、それらを想像するのは難しくない」

シティとの契約が来月で切れるギュンドアンには、バルセロナから1年の延長オプション付きの2年契約でのオファーが届いているとされ、代理人との交渉は現在進行中とのことだ。

去就に注目が集まるギュンドアンだが、家族はスペインへの移住を望んでいるとのこと。これまでも選手の希望には応えてきたグアルディオラ監督だが、どういった結末を迎えるだろうか。

アヤックス、シティの逸材WGボルジェスを獲得! 総額29億円
