日本代表FW前田大然(セルティック)が日本代表MF三笘薫(ブライトン&ホーヴ・アルビオン)との人気差を嘆いている。

活躍したカタール・ワールドカップ(W杯)に続けて3月のキリンチャレンジカップに向けた日本代表に招集された前田だが、今回はケガを抱えた状態での合流。別メニュー調整が続くと、26日に離脱することが発表され、2試合で出番は訪れなかった。

その前田は30日に自身のツイッターを更新。ファンの投稿を引用する形で「薫の隣はあかんよ、、、」と嘆いた。

前田が引用したのは、28日のコロンビア代表戦が行われたヨドコウ桜スタジアムで掲げられていた日本代表選手たちのポスターに並ぶ人たちを写した写真だ。

三笘のポスターの前には男女問わず多くのファンが列をなしていた一方で、三笘の隣に貼られた前田のポスター前に列はなかった。

そもそもポスターの前に列ができることが珍しいが、三笘との差に前田は思わず嘆き。それでも、この投稿には前田を推すファンから「前田女子です!」、「俺は大好きやで」、「マリサポ女子は全員大然推しだから!!!!」、「私前田選手のところで写真撮りました!!!!!」と優しい言葉がかけられていた。

今回は日本のファンの前で活躍することが叶わなかった前田だが、自身を推すファンのためにも6月の代表活動での活躍に期待がかかる。
