新指揮官探すブラジル代表、ルイス・エンリケが筆頭候補に?

ブラジル代表の新指揮官候補として、ルイス・エンリケ氏(52)の名前が挙がっている。

ブラジル代表を2016年から率いていたチッチ監督(61)。カタール・ワールドカップ(W杯)に向けては強力なチームを作り上げ、南米予選で無敗の首位通過を果たすが、ロシア大会に続き、無念のベスト8敗退という結果に終わったことで、退任が決まっていた。

後任にはマンチェスター・シティのジョゼップ・グアルディオラ監督(52)や、ローマのジョゼ・モウリーニョ監督(59)、レアル・マドリーを率いていたジネディーヌ・ジダン氏(50)といったビッグネームが候補に挙げられるも、いずれも実現には至らず。次回のインターナショナルウィークが3月下旬に予定される中で、新監督誕生が待たれる状況だ。

そうした中、ブラジル『UOL』によると、ブラジルサッカー連盟(CBF)はエンリケ氏をメインターゲットの一人として設定している模様。同指揮官はカタールW杯でスペイン代表を率いた後に退任し、現在はフリーとなっている。

また、『UOL』はまもなくCBFのエジナウド・ロドリゲス会長がヨーロッパへと直接交渉に赴くとも。同国代表史上初となる外国籍監督が実現するだろうか。

21世紀の出場試合数ランキング発表! 首位は1145試合のC・ロナウド、トップ10に日本人選手がランクイン
