モドリッチが代表キャリア継続の意向示す｢少なくともネーションズリーグまでは続けたい｣

クロアチア代表MFルカ・モドリッチ(37)が、カタール・ワールドカップ(W杯)後も代表キャリアを継続する意向を示した。イギリス『BBC』が伝えている。

2006年3月に行われたアルゼンチン代表でのクロアチア代表デビュー以降、ここまで通算162試合キャップを誇るモドリッチ。

37歳という年齢もあり、カタールW杯後に代表キャリアに終止符が打たれると噂されていたが、17日に行われたモロッコ代表(2-1で勝利)との3位決定戦後に『beIN SPORTS』のインタビューで今後の代表キャリアについて以下のように語った。

｢いずれわかることだ。一歩一歩進んでいく必要がある。私は代表チームを楽しんでいるし、まだ高いレベルでプレーできると感じている｣

｢少なくともネーションズリーグまでは続けたい。そうすれば、ユーロ2024のことを考える時間ができるからね｣

21世紀の出場試合数ランキング発表! 首位は1145試合のC・ロナウド、トップ10に日本人選手がランクイン
