前回王者としてカタール・ワールドカップ(W杯)に臨んでいるフランス。準々決勝ではイングランド代表との熱戦を2-1で制し、ベスト4進出を決めた。

連覇に向けて歩を進めるチームに、自身のSNSを通じてメッセージを送ったベンゼマ。自身はケガのため見守ることしかできないが、熱い言葉で仲間たちを鼓舞した。
