アトレティコ・マドリーのブラジル代表FWマテウス・クーニャ(23)が、ウォルバーハンプトン移籍に近づいているようだ。

ライプツィヒとヘルタ・ベルリンに所属していたドイツで評価を高め、2021年夏にアトレティコに加入したクーニャ。当時開催された東京五輪で5試合3ゴールの活躍を披露し、大きな期待の中でスペインへ降り立った。

昨季はリーグ戦29試合に出場したが、先発は7回のみ。その中で6ゴール6アシストと可もなく不可もなくという結果に。今季は中断まで公式戦17試合に出場していたが2アシストのみ。冬の移籍市場での退団が噂されているところだ。

すると移籍に精通するファブリツィオ・ロマーノ氏がウルブス移籍に迫っていることを報道。両クラブ間では順調に交渉が進んでいるようで、個人間合意も障壁はないと見られている。ただ、クーニャにはマンチェスター・ユナイテッドやアストン・ビラからも関心が伝えられており、その点は去就に影響するかもしれない。

▽盛大なイベントが行われたワンダ・メトロポリターノのこけら落としだったが、アトレティ(アトレティコ・マドリーのサポーター)たちにとっては絶対に許せない“事件”が起きていたようだ。スペイン『アス』が報じた。 ▽アトレティコ・マドリーは昨シーズン限りで、約50年以上にわたりホームスタジアムとして使用してきたビセンテ・カルデロンに別れを告げ、今シーズンからワンダ・メトロポリターノに拠点を移した。 ▽今月16日、ついに新スタジアムのこけら落としが行われ、およそ12時間にも及ぶイベントを開催。迎えたリーガエスパニョーラ第4節のマラガ戦では1-0で勝利して、新たな船出を飾っている。 ▽しかしこの盛大なイベントの裏側で、アトレティたちが激怒する事件が発生したという。それは、スタジアムの西側に設置された、“ウォーク・オブ・レジェンド”で起きたようだ。 ▽アトレティコは、クラブで100試合以上に出場した159名にのぼる過去の選手たちを紹介した記念プレートをスタジアムの道に埋め込んでいる。その中の一枚に1981年から1985年までアトレティコで活躍したウーゴ・サンチェス氏のプレートもあったようだ。 ▽しかしウーゴ・サンチェス氏と言えば、アトレティコからレアル・マドリーへ移籍し、4度のピチーチ(得点王)を獲得するなどライバルチームで活躍した、いわば“敵”のような存在。アトレティコで100試合以上に出場したとはいえ、新スタジアムの道にウーゴ・サンチェス氏のプレートが刻まれていることが気に食わなかったようで、アトレティたちはこのプレートにごみを投げつけ、踏みつけ、クラブのステッカーを張り付けるなどやりたい放題。そのため、ウーゴ・サンチェス氏のプレートだけが、かなり年季の入った姿に変わり果てたようだ。 2017.09.19 09:52 Tue
