シュチェスニーがメッシと試合前にある“賭け”…「僕は100ユーロ払わなければならない」

ポーランド代表のGKヴォイチェフ・シュチェスニーが、アルゼンチン代表戦で相手のリオネル・メッシとある“賭け”をしていたことを明かした。イギリス『サン』が伝えている。

両代表は30日、カタール・ワールドカップのグループC最終節で決勝トーナメント進出をかけて激突。立ち上がりからメッシのシュートがシュチェスニーを強襲する白熱した展開が繰り広げられた中、前半40分手前にメッシがヘディングシュートを放った際にシュチェスニーのパンチングした手が顔面に当たっていたとしてアルゼンチンにPKが与えられた。

アルゼンチンにとっては先制の千載一遇のチャンスだったが、メッシが枠の右を狙ったシュートをシュチェスニーがファインセーブ。シュチェスニーはサウジアラビア戦から続けてPKストップという離れ技をやってのけた。

試合後のシュチェスニーによると、メッシとのある賭けとはPKについて。シュチェスニーはこの一戦でアルゼンチンにPKが与えられるか与えられないかで、後者に100ユーロ賭けていたそう。

「僕たちは試合前に話をして、僕は審判がPKを与えない方に100ユーロ賭けると言ったんだ。だからメッシに賭けで負けてしまったよ」

「ワールドカップでそれが許されているのかはわからない。それで出場停止になるかもしれないね(笑)。でも気にしてないよ!」

「別に本当に100ユーロ払うわけではないけど、彼は100ユーロなんて気にしないだろう。いっぱいもらってるんだから」

なお、試合は結局、後半に2点を決めたアルゼンチンが勝利。アルゼンチンは首位でグループ突破となったが、ポーランドも得失点差でメキシコを上回り、36年ぶりの決勝トーナメント進出となった。

メッシ大好きなマテ茶のストローは7万円超えの特別仕様

メッシと妻は30年来の仲、幼馴染の2人が結ばれW杯で優勝するまで
