「圧倒できると思うが…」日本代表戦について語るルイス・エンリケ監督、警戒を弱めず「簡単な試合には全くならない」

スペイン代表のルイス・エンリケ監督が、日本代表戦に向けてコメントした。

1日、カタール・ワールドカップ(W杯)グループE最終節でスペインは日本と対戦する。ここまで1勝1分けの勝ち点4で首位に立つスペインと、1勝1敗の勝ち点3で2位につける日本の対戦。勝った方は自動的にグループステージ突破が決定。スペインは敗れれば敗退の危機を迎える可能性がある状況だ。

スペインとしては勝利が必要な中、ドイツ代表を下している日本についてルイス・エンリケ監督は警戒。昨年の東京オリンピックで対戦した選手もいるとし、難しい相手になるだろうとの見解を示した。

「スペインが前回のオリンピック(東京五輪)で延長戦で勝利したチームだ。その選手が7人いる。ヨーロッパで活躍している選手も何人かいて、ブンデスリーガにも何人かいる」

「中盤が充実しており、とてもダイナミックで、スピーディーで手こずる相手だ。トッププレーヤーもたくさんいて、とても難しい試合になると思う」

「日本はドイツに勝つことができた。スペインにとっては大きな試練になる。日本戦は圧倒できると思うが、簡単な試合には全くならないと思っている」

また、試合のメンバーについては「チームの編成は常に状況に依存する。原則的に、彼らは全員が起用できる」とコメント。ただ「昨日、ガビとロドリゴ(・エルナンデス)はトレーニング参加を望んでいたが、私は許可しなかった」と語り、前日練習にチームの中心であるガビがいなかったものの、起用は可能だとした。

さらに「26人のうち何人かはプレーせずにいるだろう。後半に出てくる選手が決定的であると我々は確信している」とコメント。「60分が経過した後にフレッシュさをもたらせる必要がある」と、後半の交代策がカギだとした。

2位通過を望むという報道もあった点については「我々は反省し、どのポジションが良いかを自問した。全ての試合に勝ち、1位になり、7試合をプレーしたいと思っている。宿題を片付け、全員に勝ちたい」とコメント。頂点を目指して戦うとした。

日本vsスペインは1日(木)の28時(2日4時)にキックオフを迎える。

「99%の希望を失った」スペインの名医がガビの負傷に言及「劇的な状況になってしまう」、原因は「選手の試合数」
