トッテナムの韓国代表FWソン・フンミンが、母国で起こった悲惨な事故にメッセージを寄せた。29日夜、韓国・ソウルの繁華街である梨泰院で、ハロウィーンのために集まった多数の若者が転倒する事故が発生した。
30日に韓国当局は外国人20名を含む153名が死亡したと発表。そのうち、日本人の10代と20代の女性が2人含まれていたことが判明。133人が負傷したとされている。
事故は地下鉄の梨泰院駅と繁華街を結ぶ坂道で発生。3mほどしかない狭い路地で、繁華街へ向かう人と駅へ向かう人で賑わっており、坂の上から転倒。下に向かって将棋倒しになっていたという。大半の人の死因は圧死とのことだ。
人気韓国ドラマ『梨泰院クラス』の舞台ともなった場所であり、人気のスポットとしても知られた場所で事故は起こってしまった。

史上初の国外開催! アーセナルとスパーズが香港で“ノース・ロンドン・ダービー”を開催
アーセナルとトッテナム・ホットスパーは31日、2025-26シーズンのプレシーズンの一環として、香港にてノース・ロンドン・ダービーを行うことを発表した。 試合が行われるのは香港の啓徳スタジアム。7月31日(木)の19時30分にキックオフを迎える予定だ。 アーセナルとスパーズによるノース・ロンドン・ダービーがイギリス国外で行われるのは史上初の出来事。スパーズは2024年に日本と韓国を訪問し、定期的にアジアを訪問。アーセナルは近年アメリカでプレシーズンツアーを行っており、香港を訪れるのは2012年以来とのことだ。 アーセナルのマネージング・ディレクター(MD)を務めるリチャード・ガーリック氏は今回の香港遠征にコメントしている。 「アーセナルの全員が7月に香港を訪問できることをとても楽しみにしている。13年ぶりに男子トップチームのメンバーと再会できることは素晴らしいことだと思うし、この地域の素晴らしいサポーターの多くと再会できる機会になる」 「一生懸命トレーニングして試合に臨むだけでなく、この素晴らしい世界の地で香港のサポーターと交流できることが待ちきれない」 「素晴らしい新たな啓徳スタジアムでトッテナム・ホットスパーと対戦することは、両チームとサポーターにとって素晴らしい経験となるだろうし、新シーズンに向けたプレシーズンの準備の非常に重要な部分となるだろう」 また、スパーズの最高収益責任者(CRO)を務めるライアン・ノリス氏もコメントしている。 「イングランドサッカーにおいて、ノース・ロンドン・ダービーほど大きなイベントはほとんどない。香港でこの試合を行うことは、アジア全域の熱狂的なファンにとって大きな機会となるだけでなく、新シーズンに向けてチームにとって理想的な準備となるだろう」 「ツアーの伝統として、我々が訪問する際、クラブは試合そのものだけでなく、慈善活動の支援、地元文化の祝賀、子供向けのサッカークリニックの実施、ファンやパートナーとの交流など、様々なことに関わっている。このような美しい場所を再び訪れることが待ちきれない」 なお、この試合は香港フットボールフェスティバル2025の一環として開催。啓徳スタジアムでは、リバプールとミランが7月26日に対戦することも発表されている。 2025.03.31 18:45 Mon
