セスク、西2部ラス・パルマスからのオファーを拒否

フリーの元スペイン代表MFセスク・ファブレガス(35)が、セグンダ(スペイン2部)に所属するラス・パルマスからのオファーを拒否したようだ。

これまでアーセナルやバルセロナ、チェルシーで輝かしいキャリアを送ってきたセスクは、今夏に2019年1月に加入したモナコを退団。昨季までの2シーズン半では公式戦63試合に出場していたが、今季はハムストリングのケガやコロナ感染による体調不良でわずか5試合の出番にとどまった。

海外クラブを含めた多くのクラブが元スペイン代表MFの動向に注視する中、6シーズンぶりのラ・リーガ復帰を目指すラス・パルマスは、逸早く正式オファーを提示し数週間前から交渉を続けていた。

しかし、同クラブのミゲル・アンヘル・ラミレス会長はカタルーニャのラジオ番組『Que T'Hi Jugues』で｢セスクがラス・パルマスでプレーすることはない。我々は3週間に渡って交渉を続けたが、彼の優先することは他にある｣と、合意に至らなかったことを明かした。

引退も迫る年齢だが、フランス『So Foot』のインタビューでは「まだ終わったという実感はない。ただ、自分のサッカーを楽しみ、ある程度のレベルで競争し続けたいんだ｣とコメントしていたセスク。果たしてどこでプレーすることになるのだろうか。
